The room and the bed was pretty good and comfortable for the price

This has been recently renovated. It is very clean and comfortable. The room had the bathroom outside the room. This was keyed and for my own use. This is far better than a shared bathroom, and takes an adjustment when used to one in the room, but is a minor issue. The food downstairs was great and the locals are very welcoming.

The hotel has a restaurant which provide decent food. And it's not noisy at night. During our stay, we had two dinners in the restaurant which is very convenient.

The room was comfortable and spacious and had excellent access to reception, the dining room and the car parking. The location in Charlestown was central to all the functions that we were attending. It was in a very quiet location and away from any road noise. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient.

Staff were amazing in helping me when I had a personal issue that stopped me attending. They looked after my partner extremely well.

The unique shape of the building translates to unique, wedge shaped rooms with a very cool bathroom set up. Great views! Loved the chiming of the big clock tower outside. Very close to the Civic Theatre, literally out the front door across the courtyard and you’re there.

Room was brilliant, location was very good for where we were situated. Easy access to the city and ample parking allowed us to travel around Newcastle, Hunter Valley and other areas within the region.

Great little place to stay either for long or short term. Room and facilities were neat and tidy. Staff were fantastic when we needed to contact them.

Such a cosy pub downstairs with great food and atmosphere. Check-in/out was easy. Comfy bed, with all the things we needed (fridge, kettle, tea & coffee).The shared bathrooms are huge, modern and clean. Parking available at the back, or easily on the street. This was a good base for us to see Newcastle and explore Port Stephens. Miss it already!

The staff and food were exceptional. Such gorgeous people! It was as though they were looking after their extended family! The food was absolutely delicious, too.

Like the kitchen facility and secured parking, the room had amenities that we were expecting and were really value for money. The premises were clean and tidy. We used the kitchen for one night and it has everything that is needed for basic cooking. The vending machine was helpful and my daughter used it for an easy snack.

The location is an easy walk to the marinas. The breakfast buffet was very good; also the dinner served was enjoyable.
