Excellent location, clean, comfortable, lots of space, affordable.. Absolutely would stay again. It was nice to have the kitchen to make myself a nice breakfast in the morning and a drink in the evening. I enjoyed sitting on the patio over the street and watching the people strolling below and the flying foxes overhead.

Lovely town, quiet. Nice beach and lots of things to do locally. Great base for visiting Daintree rainforest, crocodile cruises and Great Barrier Reef trip. Cane toad racing at local pizza place was fun as well.

We had a four night stay in Port Douglas, lots of great restaurants to choose from. Tin Shed was great food and views , Star of Siam excellent , lots Of bakeries and other choices along the waterfront or Main Street. 4 mike beach was wonderful walk each morning. We walked the trail to Flagstaff hill lookout along the coast and back to town. Mossman Gorge was another walk , quite busy the morning we went but well done and worth a visit. We had already done the Daintree on a previous visit , having a car is an asset if you don’t want to do tours but not essential if you stay in town.

Port Douglas is vibrant and so tropical.

Port Douglas is vibrant and so tropical. We dined at The CourtHouse Hotel where hospitality was great and the meals delicious. We also visited TOAST cafe which served great coffee and exciting sandwiches. Kmart Hub was close by and sold everything that visitors would need and also Coles Supermarket was well stocked and very busy during our stay. I would recommend Port Douglas. Such a great place to visit. There are lots of local small buses that can ferry people from their hotel to the main street for a fee. In this era of don't drink and drive this is a bonus.

Port Douglas is a gem. There's plenty to do.

Port Douglas is a gem. There's plenty to do. The Sunday market gets better every year with a huge amount of local craft and produce on sale. There is a good range of restaurants and cafes. Five mile beach is beautiful. Everything in Port Douglas is reachable on foot. The marina shopping complex is gradually decaying. Many businesses have closed down due to a lack of customers. But ferries to the reef and elsewhere still operate as normal.

Relaxed vibe, great restaurants but its peak season (July/August) so you need to book ahead. We stayed close to the beach + shops and walked everywhere. Did a day trip to Hartleys Crocodile Farm and another day trip to the Daintree + Cape Tribulation - both worth it.

Deluxe lower level, one bed apartment. Room is dark, so good for sleeping if you need a dark room. Spa bath and good size shampoo, conditioner and soap available. Fresh linens and towels after seven nights. Convenience of being in the heart of town is the reason I chose this hotel and it’s in walking distance of the marina and restaurants. Reasonably quiet. Pool is heated to a comfortable temperature and very nice after a hot day. Port Douglas does not disappoint its a wonderful Aussie town.

The reception staff was lovely, Ops Manager Nick Fox tried helping us resolving issues, but they are deeper to what he can help with. At the end he gave us a discount as the current state of the hotel is not acceptable and definitely not 5-star luxury experience as presented on Booking.com.

It’s a cheaper alternative than other resorts in the area, so you get what you pay for. The rooms are spacious, the beds were comfy, the pool was nice. The sunbeds were tight and very crowded. Overall the decor etc is a bit outdated. The shuttle was convenient to get in/out of Port Douglas

What an amazing property. Great value for money for a family within a close proximity to Port Douglas and many of the amazing attractions of Far North Queensland. The pool was a huge hit for the children and the house was comfortable, spacious and well kept. We loved it!

We were staying in Cairns and couldn’t get back from port Douglas so we’re trapped! Emergency hotel booking - easy and nicer room. On beach, close enough to town and price ok.
