This house is in a great location -We enjoyed being able to walk casually along beachfront as well as enjoy a beach swim just opposite the house. The house had great sized rooms with comfortable furniture in the lounge room. Our bed was very comfy. The kitchen was well appointed with a variety of kitchenware. The house was presented very well and was extremely clean. It is easy to see that renovations have been done on this house but more is needed in the area of cooling and heating. When the owner was contacted about a problem we had she quickly solved it for us. She also passed on many touristy tips.

Amazing view plenty of room for family of four, terrace was beautiful to watch sunrise and sunsets every day. Double bed so comfortable, includes a single bed and trundle on entry up the stairs, which my kids enjoyed, comfy lounge room, big TV, towels, shampoo/conditioner and hand soap included IGA, pub, kiosk and souvenir shops all in walking distance. You can hire kayaks from the caravan, will definitely stay again.

A very beautiful town with two friendly cafes and a nice hotel. Great swimming beach for everyone in the family and great walks along the bay foreshore. This was a great spot on the peninsula to base your stay as it is close to other towns, swimming and snorkeling spots, and other holiday activities.

I was pleasantly surprised by Port Vincent.

I was pleasantly surprised by Port Vincent. The town is extremely clean and the locals are so friendly. It’s a picturesque little town with a small beach, plenty of old buildings and a has relaxed vibe. In a way it was like stepping back, to a more friendly, time. I didn’t see any graffiti and the local teens were very polite and friendly, I didn’t see anyone glued to their phone. It’s a great town to stay with kids, the beach is safe and everything is walkable.

During the off-season (winter) it is a very quiet town, and great for a quiet getaway. The local pub has good meals and reasonable prices, although was not open late. May have longer hours during peak season and warmer weather. Nice place to base with easy drives to other towns in Southern Yorke Peninsula - we did Stansbury, Yorketown, Point Turton and Minlaton in the 1 day. Admittedly, being a weekend, most shops and venues are closed after 1pm on Saturdays, so limited options to browse shops and spend money! We achieved our goal of visiting Water Tower Art Trail over the weekend quiet easily, and all worth stopping for.

The walks along the beach were grand.

The walks along the beach were grand. Though most will probably overlook it, Bennett Park is a gem. Volunteers have created a garden of native plants, with walkways leading around them, that is a real treasure. Port Vincent is also close to a magnificent national park, and the fishing is first rate. We feasted on blue swimmer crabs and gar fish, thanks to friends.
