We had a lovely stay! The place was quiet, cute, and had everything we needed for a comfortable getaway. The hosts were wonderful — warm and welcoming. It's a short drive to Portarlington and close to some great wineries. Overall, a fantastic spot for a relaxing short break. Highly recommend!

Portarlington itself is a great town for a relaxing holiday.

Portarlington itself is a great town for a relaxing holiday. The town has all the shops, restaurants and facilities a traveller could need. The port, beaches and rural areas are beautiful, with many dog friendly walks. It's a great base for visting other areas of the Bellarine including; St Leonards, Indented Head, Queenscliff, Ocean Grove, Lorne and Drysdale.

I was there for the Celtic Music Festival so the town was "...

I was there for the Celtic Music Festival so the town was "busy". Even so the staff in the many shops were friendly, chatty and happy to serve you, even if it was the 100th coffee order since they opened. The shops are quirky, the food is great, the walk along the beach has to be enjoyed. I am already planning a weekend trip from Melbourne (there is a ferry service Melb-Arlington) to stay at the Grand Hotel and tour the copious number of wineries in the area.

A beautiful little village.

A beautiful little village. Though not good if you need a pharmacy or doctor on a long weekend. You would have to travel back towards Geelong, I travel here every year and its charm captures me again.

Lovely small town, locals were friendly and informative.

Lovely small town, locals were friendly and informative. Mix of sandy beaches, pebble beach and rock for kids to play and explore. A seal lives on the rocks at the pier. Also got to see a pod of dolphins. Fishing was good. Attended on the long Weekend, so became a little more crowded from earlier in the week. Attended the Local Agricultural Show which was a great showcase of the local region. No distance to Queenscliff, Geelong or The Q Train at Drysdale. Highly recommend the Golf Club for a meal. Staff super friendly and meals were great. Great play area for the kids while the adults relax.

Portarlington was such a beautiful place to visit!

Portarlington was such a beautiful place to visit! We stayed for 2 nights, but could have continued to stay longer if we could. We visited in early February and the beach water was crystal clear, flat and refreshing (not too cold). The parking at the beach was also super easy, and close to the beach (we literally walked 10 metres to the water from our park). Great pub, and other options for dinner. Lovely stay :)

Great location and district. Many, places to visit. Great shops, restaurants and Cafes, gift shops. Excellent Portarlington Market, plenty of stalls. Plenty of people around, busy, but not Crazy busy.

We had just one night here in a studio and really liked it. Really spacious, nice modern furnishings, super comfy bed, huge bathroom. There is a communal kitchenette area too. There is an assortment of rooms across 3/4 adjacent buildings on the owners property. It's a semi rural location only a 5 min drive from gorgeous Portarlington. The golf club is across the road and a great place for a casual drink or a bistro meal. If you are exploring the Bellarine then it's a winner. Happy to recommend.

From the moment we arrived to the time we left we thoroughly enjoyed our stay . Denise & Ian have created a little oasis in Portarlington and all the wonderful reviews prove it.. It's the little touches that make it special. Home-made cakes,fruit platter, home-made bread and ample breakfast provision. The room is tastefully decorated and the bed is so comfortable.Highly recommend The Cosy Bungalow

The bedroom was very nice and we liked the way that the hotel had been refurbished. Great view of the bay from our balcony albeit some people might have struggled ducking through the window to access the balcony.

The cottage is deceptively large inside and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The beds are comfortable and the lounge area is cosy. Location was nice and quiet and close to Portarlington centre.
