You really must go and look at the incredible amount of work they have done on the outside and inside the buildings. I was struck with the detail on the ceilings. The food is very good and reasonable.

Darling cottage that was very comfortable and well equipped. Owner was friendly and even brought a loaf of freshly baked bread every day. Location was perfect right at the bridge and easy walk to town.

Parking could be a problem , but we could walk anywhere from the cottage . Definitely go to the Pub , great friendly atmosphere and staff and good prices for drinks and food . Quality meals as well .

Lovely historic town with stunning buildings. Plenty of great eating places. Easy to walk around. Clean & green with lots of seating areas. Families out enjoying the day ,sitting in the parks& playing on the grassed areas lovely to watch.

Richmond and surrounds was interesting, with many old Georgian buildings. Easy to walk around back roads where you will see lovely historical buildings, many lived in. Lots of cafes, mostly only for lunch. Pub does meals at night. Quite a few wineries or distilleries within short drives.

Wonderful historic village, plenty to see and do especially if you are interested in our historic past. Hobart town was excellent and well worth seeing. The lolly shop had an interesting and varied variety of lollies from modern to old fashioned.

Richmond is a beautiful town with that lovely old world feel. Gorgeous shops to browse, spend, eat and Di coffee! Loved it. The Hotel has been tastefully renovated retaining the old world feel but with ‘new’facilities. We had a unit at the back of the hotel, no noise and completely private. Great for car parking and unloading the car. Facilities just great, spotlessly clean, huge bedroom and bed, great bathroom, large lounge room, tea and coffee making facilities, large tv. Everything you need. Oh reverse aircon so you won’t be hot or cold no matter what it is doing outside! A fabulous stay.

So many things to see and do, even just a wander through the...

So many things to see and do, even just a wander through the small shops was fascinating. The history is also really interesting and there is a historic walk - maps available - which tells much more of the area. As well as all of this, there are wineries and other providore venues to visit.

The couple who run and own Hatchers Manor were extremely accommodating. We arrived late in the day, and they cooked dinner for us at late notice to save us going into Richmond. The meal was selected from their restaurant menu and exceeded our expectations and appreciated the time they gave us. Very welcoming. Hatchers is an older property, but this comes with a special charm, you wouldn't get anywhere else in Tasmania. enjoyed our stay.
