A gem in the outback, so much to see & do, lots of walking...

A gem in the outback, so much to see & do, lots of walking trails, easy to get around, an hr away is Mitchell Artisian Mineral baths Spa, well worth the visit. Visted tourist info centre, great cafe attached, did the night light show at the Big Rig, history if the oil & gas fields, another must see. Thai restaurant is worth a visit for food. Roma is easy to get around with a vehicle as it's spread out.

Roma is known as the gateway to the outback.

Roma is known as the gateway to the outback. We only stayed there for one night to break up the trip, but it's a significant town in the region and good to stop and get supplies. It also has a BCF. The sculpture park is great and has some really nice steel sculptures.

Have previously stayed in the Roma a year ago..a lot t of good pubs with good food at very reasonable prices, and friendly staff.. Roma has a community feel, feel welcome mostly everywhere.. Accommodation reasonable prices, somewhere suitable for everyone…

I travelled from Dubbo NSW.

I travelled from Dubbo NSW. Roma was a an achievable distance to travel in a day with the recommended rest stops along the way and not a lot of traffic. When I arrived in Roma, the Outback Sculptures exhibition was in the park, which provided an enjoyable break from travelling, showcasing some amazing works of art. There are numerous dining options to suit most tastes. The local landscape is beautiful and quite diverse - from plains to dramatic cliffs as you drive through the ranges.

Roma is a modern regional town with many local attractions...

Roma is a modern regional town with many local attractions such as The Big Rig, Sale Yards, parkrun, good pubs and other facilities. Its main streets are lined with bottle trees, each one honouring a soldier who died in the First World War.

Lovely town. Friendly residents. Great pies and coffee from Bakeorama Bakery. Lots of attractions including cattle sale yards, sculptures of the outback and huge bottle trees lining streets, beautiful Anglican Cathedral and the fantastic big rig
