The location was fantastic and close to everything, we went down the 4wd track to the secluded beach to watch the full moon rise and it was spectacular! The staff were very friendly and accommodating, it was a great holiday all around :)

Position on the waterfront surrounded by native flora and some exotic which harboured so much wildlife. Over 40 species of birds, 1 male buck Eastern Grey Kangaroo on the grass next to the house, 1 Echidna ambling around the outside of the house. Closeness to walk to the foreshore and shops and pub. so beautiful. Thank you. Great for my elderly friend to play games and create art. Thank you so much. Loved the Eco tour by a talented and caring local too.

It was so peaceful. Kangaroos in the yard was amazing to see. The house was beautiful. Chich the dog was friendly and Sunny was great. Thanks for pointing us to the sunset in 1770 and the hiking track by Chinamans beach.

Agnes water & 1770 are amazing spots.

Agnes water & 1770 are amazing spots. We love coming back here. Relaxing, fishing, Coral sea foods, Gelato ice creamery. Moreover kudos to Ampol, Agnes waters. Their burgers were great, as we arrived after 8 pm and everything else was shut. So far six times in the last four years and many more to come, God willing!! :)

1770 is like stepping back in time and is an ideal location for a real holiday. There are a number of options for accommodation. Good meals are available at the pub and the Rusty Pelican beach cafe (positioned right on the beach) serves the best fish & chips and casual meals . Tours are available just down the road (we did the day trip to Lady Musgrave Island). As per The Castle - How's The Serenity!!!

What a beautiful part of the world. Picture perfect.

What a beautiful part of the world. Picture perfect. There was plenty to do if you wanted to be active. Stand up paddle boarding, kayaks or a tour to one of the nearby islands. We were there to have break so spent most of our time enjoying the view or walking along the beach. The walking track to the lookout was well maintained and worth doing. We saw turtles and the views were fabulous. The Marina had a few good eateries and was very popular. Just make sure you take insect repellent as the sandflies are vicious. There were plenty of other options in nearby Agnes Waters as well. The water had some algae bloom. We only went in a couple of times where it was clear. The beach at Agnes Waters was nice but also had the green bloom in many areas.

Beautiful place to visit, great accommodation available, and also great for caravanners. Loverly little pub with great meal selection and friendly staff, right opposite the beach. Great fishing if yr into it and the beach is beautiful, with a bit of surf down the road at Agnes Waters, another beautiful beach. There's a shopping centre and tavern there as well with a big caravan park with luxury cabins, as well as a large selection of accommodation available, and only a quick drive back to the much quieter, less fussy and more pristine 1770. Between the two of these places, the best of both worlds id reckon. We'll definitely be back to 1770 , We're lucky that we live close enough to make it a regular stay.

A hidden gem.

A hidden gem. Wonderful water views and accessible foreshores with safe swimming beaches. Great walking around the headland park with surprise whale encounters! There are several small shopping centres, with a variety of cafes or other nearby eating venues. The shopkeepers are very friendly and obliging.

The location: gold! Best way to enjoy 1770/Agnes Water. Walking distance from the marina, hotel and beach = forget about your car 90% of the time! We had a very good deal with Genius and by using the Visa booking partner program (type 'Visa booking.com' in Google) to get a $160 cashback. It makes the property very affordable! Oh, btw, the King Bed is a killer!
