I loved pretty much everything about Iron Bay Creek Estate! The very friendly and helpful staff, the outstanding facilities- beautifully aesthetic buildings, tasteful landscaping, stunning views of water and mountains, gorgeous apricot and cherry orchards with the most delectable cherries I’ve ever tasted and a palatial well appointed restaurant. The attention to detail throughout the estate is outstanding and our room was super affordable and included a generous buffet breakfast.

Our stay at Urban Retreat was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. Alan, Karen, and Stella are truly terrific hosts—so friendly, warm, and welcoming that you immediately feel at home the moment you arrive. Their pups and cat even came out to welcome us! The property itself is quiet and beautiful, with a lovely garden that makes the whole place feel peaceful and relaxing. One of the charming highlights was the chickens, which provide incredibly tasty fresh eggs—such a delightful touch that made breakfast even more special. The accommodation is fresh, airy, and spacious, with a modern feel and impeccable cleanliness. Every detail has clearly been thought through. It’s fully equipped with everything you need to feel comfortable, whether you’re staying for just a night or settling in for a longer visit. The generous breakfast was another wonderful bonus and a perfect way to start the day. The location is excellent—easy to find, conveniently located for exploring the area, and with easy parking right on site. It really is the ideal place for either a short getaway or a longer stay. Urban Retreat offers incredible value for such a high-quality experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. I HIGHLY recommend booking—this place is a gem! ⭐

very easy to get around Sorell, shopping centre right across...

very easy to get around Sorell, shopping centre right across the road from our villa. We ate at the Pembroke pub, about 8 mins walk, food was good would probably be a good idea to book if you can,as it was busy on a Tuesday night

Close to Hobart city and surrounding tourist attractions.

Close to Hobart city and surrounding tourist attractions. Sorell is a good town to stay in with groceries, chemist, park, cafés, fast food take away and plenty of free parking. Easy to walk or drive around in and just a short 20 min drive to visit busy Hobart CBD area.

Sorell is an excellent 'way-point' between the historic Richmond township, the Tasman Peninsula and the Tasmanian East Coast, not too far out of Hobart and quite close to the airport. Excellent fuel prices and several good dining options.

Great place to stop over.

Great place to stop over. As close as you can get to Port Arthur and still be in a reasonable Town with most services and still get things without the tourist price mark up. Also close to Richmond and Hobart Airport without the busyness or price of Hobart.

Loved the cottage clean tidy was perfect for our stay . Very easy to find , instructions for check in were very clear , Recommend breakfast at velvet cafe great food and service. We were only over night wanting to be close to the airport for travel early in the morning . Didn’t have time to explore Sorell but will definitely be back .
