What a great place! Comfortable, clean, amenities were great. We didn't have time to use any, but would come back and stay longer next time. Everything was nice, cabins were close in proximity which was nice because we had a large group. Able to have late check in was nice to just go to our cabin and sleep. Great views also.

The location was very central for exploring different parts of the coast. We enjoyed a 2bdrm villa which was very spacious, well equipped and had a beautiful view of the harbor. The property was nicely laid out and very quiet and peaceful. We used the hot tub and pool and found that to be very nice and very clean.

We weren't expecting to be on/over the water, but what a pleasant surprise 😄 With the marina in front of you, the view of the harbor is like watching a show of people who live, work, or vacation at Garden Bay, and you realize you could watch this show every day. We stayed in Prawn Palace.

Everything! I can't believe how compact yet sufficient this RV is; it has everything you need—it feels just like home. I am so amazed by the well-equipped, well-stocked kitchen; regardless of its size, it was even better than some of the Airbnbs we've stayed at. They also provide Wi-Fi, a TV with Netflix, books, and board games, and a BBQ outside the patio. Hot water is really reliable for a family of 4. Hosts are communicative and easy to reach should you have any issues—they even provide us with firewood. Short drive to Garden Bay Provincial Park, Pender Hill (a must if you can manage a short but quite steep hike), and Katherine Lake (our favourite!). Definitely will become one of our favourite stays.

Egmont itself is just a small settlement, with a pub and convenience store and dock. It is the take off point for the forest rail to the Skookumchuck tidal passage , a 4 kms hike on the actual trail throughthe forest , the trek is well rewarded with a stunning view of the narrows, but it is twisty and slightly rocky and care should be taken to avoid twisted ankles. There are numeous docking and excursion facilities, the road to Egmont , although twisty is well marked and paved, after you take the turn from Highway 101
