This place was absolutely incredible! I was expecting a rustic cottage, but it was lovely and very well appointed. There was a comfortable bedroom, nice bathroom, and living room with a beautiful little fireplace heater. We visited Ingonish in mid May, so we had sun and some very windy days. The heater was very nice at night. The biggest pro was the gorgeous view. We stayed in cottage number nine, and it was incredibly private with a sea view and a private hot tub. Sitting out on the deck, we had eagles flying over us and boats fishing in the bay. The hosts were responsive and very kind. I cannot say enough good things about the place. We really loved our stay!

This is a delightful loft apt over a garage that is super well equipped in kitchen. Has a hot plate and various other small appliances that enable you to cook what you wish. There are lots of “extras” supplied like Saran Wrap, tin foil, cooking oil, ketchup etc. Full sized fridge. Heated and cooled by a heat exchanger we were plenty cozy. We were there for 3 days skiing at Smokey. Hill is approximately 15-18 mins away and a very picturesque drive. It is advertised as 1 bedroom but that bedroom is divided into 2 distinct separate spaces with 2 beds that are very comfortable. Living room furniture is very comfy. Host Noelle and her husband are welcoming hosts. The place was spotless. Noelle has many nice touches decorating. I loved all her positive messages on walls. You park right in front of your door and there is a long foyer as you enter and then go up the steep steps (we had no problem navigating them and we are 68 & 69). Super quiet apt. Beautiful view of the ocean from bedroom window. Bathroom is huge and modern walk in shower. Luxurious and plentiful towels provided. Bathroom has electric heat. Hairdryer provided.

Everyone in this small town was friendly.

Everyone in this small town was friendly. Purchased some groceries in the small supermarket, had coffee and dessert at Main Street Restaurant. Would have liked to lunch there. Menu looked amazing. Got our lobsters at the wharf on Wharf Street.

Lovely place. Scenery great.

Lovely place. Scenery great. Food at Main Street Restaurant was very good, deserts were extremely good but expensive. Cape Smokey Gondola was very interesting with great view from the top. The Gondola was a little expensive for someone who only went up and down after seeing the view. There were some trails but didn't seem to be well marked.

I enjoyed the trails in Ingonish including Middle Head trail with magnificent views and Freshwater Lake Trail which passed through the woods around the lake, by the beach and pickleball courts. I spotted a bald eagle in a tree on this walk and my day was complete!

Ingonish is a wonderful piece of heaven in Nova Scotia.

Ingonish is a wonderful piece of heaven in Nova Scotia. The views are beautiful-breath taking! There are a myriad of hiking trails with various levels of difficulty and beautiful views. The Skyline Trail is not to be missed! There are several beaches and fresh water lakes. Opportunities to rent kayaks, sups, etc. Whale watching & other organized tours. There are helicopter tours to view the area and a wonderful gondala taking you to the top of Cape Smokey with a nice trail leading to a lake & various viewing platforms. The best sunsets in Nova Scotia! If shopping is your thing there are numerous local boutiques with hand crafts such as glass blowing, award winning handmade quilts, wood working, pottery, etc. There are some great restos for fine dining, or causual for a drink or burgers or a lobster roll. Highland Links Golf Course is excellent, rated 1 of the best in Canada. You may find yourself teeing off next to a moose. Ingonish is full of natural wonders and things to do for all ages. A must see destination.

Love Ingonish, the weather was perfect for our trip, the beaches are beautiful, and the scenery is absolutely gorgeous. We had dinner at the Seagull restaurant, their food is just amazing, there were four of us and we each ordered a different meal from the menu, all four meals were perfect, huge plates of delicious food. We went at the end of July and stayed at the Sea breeze cabins which we loved. My morning view, sitting on the deck looking out towards the ocean was just what I needed even the local wildlife came to visit( a rabbit, a chipmunk and the tweeting of the birds) just made everything so much more relaxing. I’m not much of a swimmer but there is a spot just up from the cabins near the wharf that you can swim, it’s quiet and the sand and water are beautiful ( we love that spot). We were in the middle of a heat wave so the beach was the perfect spot to melt away.

Everything. The location was perfect. Cabins were clean and comfortable. From check-in to check out, we were treated with kindness and respect. Any issues were quickly addressed by the caretakers. Tony and his family showed what Cape Breton hospitality is renowned for. I would stay here again and recommend Sea Breeze Cottages and Ingonish for a wonderful vacation!

Comfortable bed, nice front porch, big bathroom. Airco. There’s no cutlery or plates provided but when we asked they kindly lent us some. Short walk to a supermarket and a restaurant across the road. Good option to stay while in Ingonish. Few minutes drive to the park entrance.
