It's also in the middle between Lucern and Geneva (we came from Milan and departed from Geneva to Paris）. You can't ask for more with such decent price!

Saudi ArabiaI loved everything about Hotel Rebstock—it is perfect, very clean, quiet, and in a safe area. My room was spacious and comfortable, with big windows to enjoy the beautiful mountain view. The hotel also has fast WiFi and plenty of parking on-site. The location is excellent, only 20 minutes from Interlaken and just a 1–3 minute walk to grocery stores like Migros and Coop.

As a cyclist, visiting Meiringen was a major treat.
As a cyclist, visiting Meiringen was a major treat. My wife’s grandfather was born there, so I ended up doing Grosse Scheidegg, Sustenpass and Grimselpass, all from town. I’m a vegan, so I ended up going to Migros, near the bahnhof.

A nice town with plenty of restaurants and cafes, supermarkets etc.
We are at Italian pizza restaurant opposite train station. It was expensive for what we had tho.
Train station nearby to go to other attractions & leave car at hotel or base.
Good bus links too.

Good touristic opportunities in walking distance, like the waterfall, Aare gorge, cable car to go to a village with very nice view of the mountains and a place to drink a coffee, even on Sunday. In town you can have a coffee only in restaurants on Sunday, or in a kind of bar which did not give me a good impression.

Only had a brief overnight stay but found that almost all the shops shut in the middle of Saturday afternoon and are closed on Sundays. Nothing against that, but it’s not ideal for a walking holiday. And the church bell tolls every 15 minutes, all night!

Meiringen is a wonderful place for mountain enthusiasts.
Meiringen is a wonderful place for mountain enthusiasts. It is not nearly as touristic as the nearby Interlaken and offers the chance to enjoy nature including Reichenbach falls, glaciers and the Aare Gorge cozily. A perfect escape location with a real Swiss spirit.

I have to highlight the kindness from Kumar, the staff late night who stayed for us till very late to check in, as we were stuck up the mountains by car. He guided us directions on the phone and helped us reach to the hotel. Not many hotels were available for a decent price and Das Sherlock Holmes made us feel at ease. Location was excellent and truly grateful for the late night staff. Thank you kindly.

Such a wonderful hotel. Gorgeous rooms, delicious food, and the owner (Simon) was so friendly and kindly helped my husband and I set up our ski touring equipment in his downstairs workshop and even gave us tips on ski touring because he is an incredible athlete! We so appreciated all the attention to detail at his fabulous hotel - highly recommend.

The amazing smell you’re greeted with on entering the hotel. Loved how dog friendly the hotel is - provided our dog his own bed, bowl and treat on arrival. Room was very clean with beautiful views from balcony. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Safe and secure underground parking.
