everything of the propety was good, hotel staff very nice always ready to help and friendly, the room was nice and clean. The hotel restaurant i had mostly all the dishes on the menu well need to give them a 10 awesome. walking distance to the city, mall and supermarket.

If you can make it to San Pedro when you first arrive, I would recommend that vs. a stop in Calama. We had to stop because of the rental car offices being closed when we arrived but I would go straight to San Pedro if I did the trip over again.

They waited me long time during check-in, even there is no...

They waited me long time during check-in, even there is no customer in the middle of night. Their credit card machined didn't work, they asked me cash. I offered them to pay with USD but then they directed me another lobby to make this operation. That was totally mess. In addition my corridor was noisy at 5AM in the morning. That's not a nice experience for me.

I came to Calama for a day to take the Chuquicamata Mine...

I came to Calama for a day to take the Chuquicamata Mine tour and didn't do much else. It is a modern city with very an efficient public transportation system. It was a real hardship to find information on how to book the tour. The Edificio Caldelco website was totally inadequate in directing visitors on the process of reserving. I will post the current info on how to reserve the tour when I get home.

My staying in Calama was just for one night while travelling...

My staying in Calama was just for one night while travelling from Uyuni to Santiago, catching a flight at the nearby airport. I've walked the streets for a little bit during the day, I felt safe enough but didn't see anything interesting. It's dusty outside.

This apartment hotel seems to cater mainly for persons who work in the mining industry. Be prepared for people getting up very early. When we came to breakfast at 7.00, the food was gone and it took a while for the staff to fill up again. That said, the room with kitchenette was really comfortable and had everything we needed. It would have been even better with an aircon. It had a safe parking and a really good price for the night we stayed. And you got a welcome drink.

A nice hotel well away from the scruffy, ugly, dirty town of Calama. We were here prior to catching a plane to Santiago and it is convenient for the airport. Good restaurant. Excellent breakfast. The place and the parking felt quite secure - Calama has a bad reputation. The pool looked nice but it was too cold to try it.

Right across the street from the main shopping area in Calama, and within reasonable walking distance of the bus terminal (~10-15 min walk). Great value for money, facilities all clean and relatively modern. Very good choice for affordable stay in center of Calama.
