Honestly, this is an excellent hotel. It is very well located, the staff is amazing, and the rooms are beautiful and comfortable. We stayed for two nights at the beginning of our trip, and later, when we returned to Puerto Varas, we decided to change our hotel and come back here again. The second time, the room we got had a bathroom that was not as nice as the first one, so I would just recommend keeping all bathrooms as beautiful as the others, because the rooms themselves are lovely and the whole house is very cozy and comfortable. The attention from the staff is excellent, and the breakfast is really good, very punctual and with great variety. I especially want to highlight Sue from the staff. On our last day, we had an early morning flight and had to leave before breakfast time, and she kindly offered to prepare a takeaway breakfast bag for us. I truly recommend this hotel. The service is exceptional!

An excellent small boutique hotel out of the city. Maria and Alexia did their outmost to accommodate all our needs and made us feel like at home. The kitchen was so good that we did not bother to go anywhere else for dinner. Totally recommend the hot tubs, a relaxation with a view!

This was our third trip to Puerto Varas.

This was our third trip to Puerto Varas. It's a clean, interesting city with lots of vibrant energy. Close by you'll find fabulous waterfalls and Frutillar, a city less than an hour away that has an amazing theater for professional music entertainment, plenty of restaurants, and a perfect view of Mount Osorno, a gorgeous, snow-covered volcano that sits just across Lago Llanquihue, the second largest lake in Chile. We've been visiting this area for the past 6 years.

Puerto Varas was a great surprise!

Puerto Varas was a great surprise! I wish we could have stayed more! It's beautiful, full of nature to be explored, calm but with great restaurants and small shops. The view of the city is amazing, no matter where you look. Certainly coming back next summer (just reminding summer in Southern Chile is not warm, so be prepared for a cool and comfortable weather).

Charming lake-side town with great weather, restaurants and pastelerias. Scenery is wonderful with great places to see nature not far away. Enjoy a stroll along the lake and beaches. Highly recommend the restaurant De Barrio. Huge portions at very reasonable prices, friendly service in a cozy laid back environment. Food at Inca Pecador was very good although service was slow probably due to the New Years holiday. Try rafting with Terra Sur based in Ensenada. They also have a sales booth at Petrohue falls. You are on the water for only about an hour, which is not very long. But you are on class 3 rapids most of the time (unlike rafting we have done in the US where you spend lots of time just drifting).

Set in it's own space in the land, set apart from the owner's house so felt private. Beautiful view of the lake one one side and hills on the other. Secure location so felt very safe with the car too, beds were really comfortable, showers were brilliant, facilities were excellent (washing machine, oven, air-fryer, wifi) so worth the price we paid. Location great for visiting Puerto Varas, Ensenada, the National Park and Volcano Osorno.

We wanted to have two full days in PV.

We wanted to have two full days in PV. We made the right decision. First day we went to fruitillas for half day. Nice place for some hours. there is e nice theatre there. If you want to visit for a show, you will need to book in advance. Second day was sunday and we booked to trip to the volcanos and waterfalls and beautiful turquoise lake. This was a good choice as sunday most was closed.

There is more rain than England and that is saying something...

There is more rain than England and that is saying something. The scenery is spectacular and there are lots of tours you can go on. To keep things cheap, use the local buses as they are frequent and reliable.

The nicest hostel I have been to in Chile, and I have travelled a lot through Chile. Large comfy dorms with big lockers, great common space to hang around and no less than 2 kitchens (one for vegetarians) with free fresh coffee, tea and cake (if you're lucky 😊). Staff are very friendly and Pierre, the owner, obviously cares a lot about his guests. Good value too - Puerto Varas isn't cheap. Surely hope to be back!

Everything! The ambiance, views to the volcanoes, the private beach, the calmness, the kindness of the host Javiera, everything was perfect! I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a relaxing escape. By car is very close to Puerto Varas city center. We didn't have a car but Uber and buses worked great!

The hotel is beautifully situated, with a café next to the reception with lake and (on a clear day) the volcano view . It's a bit far from the main streets of Puerto Varas indeed , but that's a plus. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available on site, all very tasty and at a good price. 🙂
