Friendly staff and the best view we could get in Chengdu. If you can afford the room with stand free bath go for it, you won’t be regret, the views are breathtaking! We stayed in the standard room in the first day, which was good, but the other room is amazing! The guy working at the reception was so friendly and helped us to navigate to the tourist points.

Really professional and quick service, breakfast was also good. The hotel is situated right next to one of the main shopping areas, and close to the subway. When we got our room, it smelled like cigarettes, even though we booked a non-smoking room. When we brought this up with the front desk, they immediately allowed us to view other rooms to judge whether others were better in our view. We switched then rooms. They also offered help with switching, but we didn't have a lot of luggage, so we refused. A cute little robot brought us our second room card, which was also really fun to see.

What can I say about Lucky and the Wuyu Hotel that isn't just excellent praise? I already knew I would feel at home even before arriving there, because from the moment I booked, Lucky kept in touch to ensure that my mother and I arrived at the correct address and that we didn't have any difficulties. Unfortunately, we arrived feeling unwell, and Lucky spared no effort to help us, getting medicine, making tea, and suggesting nearby places to visit. And even after we left, she still contacted us to see if we had recovered. We felt very welcomed and well cared for. The hotel very cozy and well located. we totally recommend for everyone.

The central part of the Yuzhong district is very walkable, full of shops and restaurants. The main street food is great, with food quality better than smaller locations around. The subway is clean and works well, eg for a quick ride to the Liziba station for the famous view of the monorail line oving through a building. The sidewalks around Liziba and the Hongya cave are incredibly crowded, so beware - but the crowds do move, so you can reach your destination eventually.

For a first timer from the West, it is an exceptional place both in human and geographical terms. Built in a mountainous region it is amazing to witness adaptations to the area such as being on apparently ground level surface and seeing a tower, walking past you suddenly look down many stories and realise that yes it is built on ground level but it is also built on the side of a mountain. It also has two major waterways running through to which it has put to great usage. Besides the ancient and cultural aspects, Chongqing also embraces the modern. I really loved the human element. Being Australian and having next to nothing Chinese, every time I requested help, they went out of their way to help. My third and final day was somewhat happily truncated and I didn't wind up doing everything on my list. This was because I started chatting to a local, Dereck, who had spent time elsewhere and had good english and we wound up having a great discussion. Later on I had another great discussion with someone I had asked for help who turned out to be a university student and very curious. As for the things I didn't do, next time, PS Chongqing zoo to see the pandas is definitely a must but go as early as close to opening as you can to avoid the crowds and the professional photographers who have set up cameras on stilts so they can capture photos without being blocked by massed human heads. Even though I arrived reasonably early the first two places where you can see them were packed. Don't panic walk past and there is a turn off to the left, up a few steps and there are the other panda spots. Far less crowded and well worth it.

The city view at night are very beautiful, especially the places like ChaoTianMen /HongYaDong. The scenic tourist attractions/spots around the city are worth to visit and enjoy. The local foods, delicious yet spicy. Peoples are friendly, willing to help. The only thing I can complaint is that smokers are almost everywhere, even in the restaurants.

Chongqing Hotel was surprising as you get there by going to the 7th floor by lift front next to the KFC straight to the large reception area, never seen that before. Unfortunately I did not take a picture on my phone of the hotel, but got pictures of the park that was spectacular if you like nature, not one but two park areas next to hotel both great places to chill out.

From the first second we got a great impression from the hotel service manager Mr. Chen who was very helpful with all our questions - and even upgraded our room without cost when we asked for a room with a good view of Chongqing. The staff present at the hotel was also very helpful and kind, the room was as good as you’d hope. Would definitely recommend, especially if you’re a foreigner traveling China who could use a bit of extra help from a native Chinese. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Chongqing!

This hotel was wonderful and felt incredibly relaxing and luxurious after a long few weeks traveling around China. The views were phenomenal, and the staff were incredibly helpful. We accidentally left something behind after checking ou, and within a few hours, the staff reached out to see how they could send it to us.

The location was good, The Hotel was a little expensive in comparison to other Hotels , but it was very clean and suitable for my needs. Breakfast was offered in a very nearby premises. breakfast in China is not to everyone’s taste. There are some steps that need to be climbed to gain access to the Hotel.
