Very convenient to Tarcoles and Carara National Park. We used it to break our first day's drive from SJO to Monteverde. Inexpensive rates, complimentary breakfast of casados typicos, rural setting, good bird life including scarlet macaws! Variegated squirrels! Great view towards Carara. Good-sized clean pool, useful for hot weather at this low altitude. Excellent back deck for relaxing. No bugs. Not far from a mirador restaurant overlooking the Pacific for dinner and the sunset. There's food, and even a nice beach, even closer in Tarcoles. Comfortable and clean.

This property is peaceful, relaxing, and offers easy access to the pool, along with one of the best breakfasts you’ll ever have. The bed was incredibly comfortable—bigger than a California king—and the room was thoughtfully decorated with games and books. In the morning you can spot different birds and even catch a glimpse of local wildlife. The hosts were kind, warm, and very welcoming. They prepare breakfast themselves, and it truly feels more like a full brunch with how much they offer. We arrived late, and they generously helped us check in without any issue. This place deserves at least a full day to truly enjoy, especially for anyone who loves being close to nature. Highly recommend!

Kirsten shared a beer with me upon my arrival and we had a nice chat! The pillows were big and comfy, I had the best sleep of my entire trip! The room was big with a small refrigerator, a desk and 2 chairs. The whole place was spotless.

Liz, our hostess came out and greeted us at her gate when we arrived. She was delightful and went out of her way to make sure we had EVERYTHING we needed. The room was very clean and comfortable. She had apologized ahead of time about potential New Years fireworks and noise. We never heard a thing. The mattress was super! I normally sleep about 7 hours a night and I slept for 10 in that bed. There is a small kitchenette which is supplied with misc items for guests who want to be able to eat in their room. We had brought our own breakfast which we ate at a table by the swimming pool. So quiet and relaxing! The grounds are absolutely beautiful. The property is gated and we felt totally safe in her little garden paradise. We hope to come back again. Highly recommended.
