Poas Volcano Lodge met all of our requirements. I would recommend booking rooms in the Lodge - an our friend had a room in the Lodge while ours was in the Garden Building. Lodge rooms much nicer! The staff was accommodating & friendly!

This was such a lovely place to stay at. Ken and Alejandra are some of the best hosts I’ve ever encountered. The location is so beautiful and peaceful. They also serve an organic breakfast with food items grown in their farm. They also provide services for massage and yoga if you need. They are the best. If you need a place to wind down and relax this is the place.

We liked the location. This hotel is located in the middle of the mountains with nice views to the valley with lot of nature around. Breakfast building is very cozy. Facilities in good condition, clean and fully comfortable. Close to Poás volcano, waterfalls and so many other attractions.

Good roads but narrow as usual thru towns. Different landscape with the farms and greenhouses and coffee plantations in rolling hills. Waterfalls. Loved the drifting clouds coming up the valleys in the evening. Cool evenings and warm days.

We went to La Paz Waterfall gardens and it was an amazing...

We went to La Paz Waterfall gardens and it was an amazing place. You could easily spend an entire day there. Also the area is known for strawberries. We bought some from a roadside stand and they were delicious.

Loved our stay here! The hiking trails were awesome and such a nice bonus right on the property. The hotel was super clean, and the whole place had a really calm, peaceful vibe. Staff were all really friendly, and the food from the on-site chef was so good. Overall just a really relaxing spot—would definitely come back!

Good location, good food but restaurant very cold in November. Rooms and particular beds very comfortable and showers good and hot. Bedrooms bit too cold in November. We appreciated the walking trails and the loan of wellie boots by the hotel as trail was very muddy. Good location for boating volcano.

This felt like a very special place. Everyone has their own cabin with fire place should you need to warm up. There’s a long walk you can do through the jungle from the hotel which was really nice. The staff were really helpful when it came to getting taxis around, but a lot easier here to have a car.
