I stayed five Minutes for a shower when a maniac punched the glass through the bathroom window while I was on the other side of the window brushing my teeth. The owner threw me out because I had glass stuck in my face and nursed the maniac who injured his arm punching the glass. Terrible place, terrible people, filthy, unhelpful and tried to intimidate me. Told me to leave for being attacked. Avoid at all costs. -10 quality. Awful

A town at the foot of the Sierra de Mijas with a peaceful atmosphere and views of the mountains in the distance shrouded in a tan haze of dust blown in from the Sahara Desert. Great tapas and excellent wines. You can reach the seaside resorts in about half an hour by car.

What a lovely place . Never stayed inland before . Everyone is friendly and everything is a lot cheaper as well .We had some great food at a lovely restaurant at the top of the her . The serve was amazing . It was called Santiago’s Kitchen .

Alhaurin el Grande is well placed in southern Spain.
Alhaurin el Grande is well placed in southern Spain. Easily accessible from Malaga airport and a number Seaside places. The town is very vibrant many shops, cafes, restaurants in fact with a few very classy restaurants which are a must when staying in Alhaurin.
The golf course is a major attraction with a good club restaurant /bar.
A beautiful town to visit with its three amazing churches.

I was visiting friends and used a local driver through them...
I was visiting friends and used a local driver through them so I was Totally relaxed and do not think it cost more than hiring. Many potholes on the old Alhourin road. I ate with friends or bought sufficient from the Mercadona in Alhourin el Grande which has a v goid selection.

Alhaurine el Grande is a nice Spanish village for those who...
Alhaurine el Grande is a nice Spanish village for those who don't want to crowd with the tourists by the sea. Perfect for golfers, several nice courses around the village and in the neighboring area. Nice restaurant street in the village with many different kinds of food and friendly staff. Speaks Spanish and English. Alhaurine el Grande is well worth a visit.

Lovely apartment. Pretty much everything provided that you would ever need. Air con in each room was an added bonus.
Loved the kitchen, very high spec and the little courtyard was a super place to sit and have morning coffee.
Location was good,once we got used to the one way system that not everyone adhered to! Parking isn't great, although there is a little square opposite the apartment and we usually found a space there.
There is a little shop at the bottom of the street and some nice bars/restaurants within walking distance.

We liked the location - in a small town, not so touristy, easy to park the car on the street, close to the (excellent) bars with food - walking distance - which we were looking for. There is a recommendation list for restaurants in the apartment.
The apartment was nice, big TV. The kitchen was small but with big fridge and big (gas) stove; also some cleaning stuff and basic spices. We only used it for breakfast, the food in the restaurants was too good :)

Even though, the cutlery, plates, cups, kitchen cabinets (inside and out), microwave, oven and shower were dirty we appreciated them being included. We had our little food shelf in the fridge as well.
We liked the location and the overall interior of inside the house. It's got some of the best views and nicest little shops, restaurants and bars around it.

The property is very comfortable and clean. the breakfast was diverse and tasty, it was better than in the all-inclusive hotels. the owners are very attentive, careful, kind and welcoming. genuinely, no hotel can be compared with this experience. the finca let us feel the true spain vibe.
