United StatesA lovely house apartment and very convenient after hiking the El Caminito del Rey. Only 15 minutes from the parking to catch the bus for the hike. The house is set off the road in an olive grove with a lovely owner/hostess who greeted us at the gate. It is a spacious attached apartment, very comfortable for three friends to stay here and they have a pool and beautiful garden.

We liked the friendly and relaxed atmosphere in the town.
We liked the friendly and relaxed atmosphere in the town. There are plenty of good quality and reasonably priced café bars and restaurants. It is well situated for hikers and bikers.
The Caminita del Rey is a short distance away and Ronda is also a possibility to visit for a day trip.

Ardales was a surprise highlight of our trip.
Ardales was a surprise highlight of our trip. We stayed to visit the Caminito del Rey but the town itself is lovely - a very pretty and steep white village. Parking is easy. We missed the caves nearby but they sounded cool. There is a nice lake which is near the entrance to Caminito del Rey where you can bathe and hire pedalos and canoes. We went in the church at the top of the hill and a really nice man was there to tell us the interesting history of Ardales - it was a great opportunity to practice our Spanish! We didn’t eat in the restaurants, they looked quite basic but had a lively feel with locals sitting out in the evening. A really nice atmosphere.

All amenities available on the very pretty Main Street, inc restaurants/ cafes/ ice cream parlour, pharmacy & other shops.
Plenty of on street parking around.
You may struggle in Ardales if you had mobility issues.

Lovely accommodation, perfectly located for our trip to Caminito del Rey. The Caminito is definitely a must for a visit to the area. Amazing gorge hike with spring flowers everywhere. Dizzying views of the gorge and river bed. We saw lots of birds of prey and an otter plus wild goats. If we return we’d be interested in seeing some of the local caves. We ran out of time and some are open only at specific times.

OK if you want a quiet break near to walks and lovely...
OK if you want a quiet break near to walks and lovely scenery.
But make sure you get the room you booked.Dont bother with the
extra cost of Parking you can easily park in the road.Plus the garage
is very tiny and on a steep downhill.

Fabulous stay before walking the Caminito del Rey. So comfortable and we were welcomed by very friendly staff. Ardales is a lovely village to explore. The pool and the air conditioning was very welcome with the extreme heat we experienced. Plenty of parking nearby and easy to get to. Highly recommend

Right in the centre of the sleepy village of Ardales with limited meal options but we enjoyed Restaurante Café Bar La Guinda. The apartment was large and comfortable with a sunny balcony with stunning views over the valley. The apartment takes up the whole of the third floor.
