The location is amazing, and the views are truly stunning. Staying in the cozy wooden cottage feels like being in a winter wonderland, far away from the city. We were also lucky enough to see the Northern Lights. Just be sure to do your grocery shopping before arriving if you plan to stay for a few days, as there are no nearby shops, only a local restaurant some distance away.

This is a cozy place for a solo trip, especially if your main goal is to chase the Northern Lights. For me, the most interesting—and challenging—part was lighting the fireplace every day. It’s not so easy for someone born and raised in a city who has never had the chance to try it before, but it was absolutely worth it. As for the Northern Lights, there’s a lake right in front of the cabin that feels like your own private viewpoint. It’s wide open, with zero light pollution, so you don’t need to drive anywhere else to see it. During my four-night stay, I was lucky enough to see it every single night, which was truly amazing!
