Hotel Cartier is a classic French hotel, squeaky clean and bright. Comfortable room and beds. Large, secure garage to park our bicycles for the night. Lovely breakfast. Central location in town, walkable to restaurants and shops. Friendly and helpful staff, I would return.

Quillan is right in the heart of Cather country.

Quillan is right in the heart of Cather country. The town itself is a bit run down and unkempt but some lovely restaurants and bars and a nice vibe about it. Most of the shop owners must be used to visitors as they all speak some English and most are very pleasant.

We enjoyed visiting gorges, Cather castles and abbeys and...

We enjoyed visiting gorges, Cather castles and abbeys and walkings and driving in beautiful nature . We ate our dinner at Chamiere hotel and other hotel restaurant that served classic french course meals with very reasonable prices.

Beautiful period building, fabulous central Quillan location in the place de la République with great views for people watching. Breakfast was very generous, with fresh baguette each day and there’s a great choice including cereals, yoghurt, boiled egg, fruit, cakes, croissants, jam, cheeses and cold meats. Parking on street very close by. The owners were very responsive and helpful when we had questions and also for making sure we got the key to check in and flexible to arrange timing for breakfast.

We had a wonderful stay at Brigitte's gite. The peaceful garden and stunning mountain views made it the perfect spot to relax. The gite was cosy, well equipped and very comfortable. When the weather turned cooler, Brigitte kindly lent my partner some jumpers which was so thoughtful and appreciated. Her warm hospitality really made our stay special. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting the full french experience.

Well set out comfortable and clean.The views of the wooded hills was wonderful. Right in the centre of Quillan but still quite. I have to say that I have been very picky in the things I didn't like but in all I enjoyed my stay very much.
