The location was wonderful! We were looking for a quiet rural retreat in beautiful surroundings and this place delivered in spades! There is a great view over the valley below. But the star of the show was the circus of birds, and we had a front row seat. I'm not particularly a birder, but they were utterly captivating, especially the red tail kites that are so impressive. The cottage is not overly spacious but was a very comfortable accommodation for the two of us. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding villages and various National Trust properties within easy driving distance. Our hosts were super friendly and helpful. Even though the cottage is rather modest (and it doesn't pretend to be otherwise), we would return in a heartbeat.

Fabulously appointed self contained units with everything you could ask for! We particularly appreciated the mini fridge and fresh milk! Lovely little touches and great style. The bed is super comfortable and the shower room was perfect. We liked the environmentally.conscious approach! Brilliant!. We will be returning.... Idyllic location in a quiet and extremely beautiful little town. It seemed we were transported to another century as we entered the manor. We stayed in a family room with two separate big bedrooms. The rooms were comfortable with high sealings. Also the bathroom was very spacious and nice with a window overlooking the courtyard. Breakfast was excellent! Thank you for the unforgettable stay!

Staff were most welcoming and gave us a tour of the main building. Our suite was extremely comfortable and well appointed. Dinner was superb accompanied by a good selection of wines.
