The Staff Team are absolutely amazing. Nothing was any trouble. They made us feel welcome and relaxed from the moment we checked in. They gave particular attention to our little dog... Which she loved. The location is perfect for exploring Hungerford or the beautiful Download countryside. The hotel has everything you would need for a little break away. Despite my booking did not seem to first appear on their systems, the staff were very friendly and made me feel very welcome. It is a cute old pub/ inn which seems to be a favourite of the locals. They are extremely dog friendly, the staff love and have dogs and recommended a nice wee local woods wander for us. The room was generally clean and good size, my extra requests were met very quickly and efficiently. There is a large shared bathroom between all 3 rooms. I found the bed comfortable. I had very nice veggie breakfast, good choices available.

Exceeded our expectations on all fronts!!!! Breakfast was delicious, freshly prepared using local ingredients and from their organic farm! Also had dinner which was fantastic! Warm and inviting atmosphere. Staff were attentive, friendly and cheeky! Rooms were unique and very clean! Relaxed vibe, one of the best places we have ever stayed in England! Have already booked for next year!!!

This pub was in a good location for us as we explored the area where the 101st Airborne were stationed during WWII. The food was excellent and the room was generally comfortable.
