Burwash is a lovely village and typical of much of East Sussex a most beautiful county. Within shouting distance is Batemans the previous home of Rudyard Kipling and kept beautifully by the National Trust one of several properties in the area.

Burwash is a pretty little village.

Burwash is a pretty little village. We enjoyed dinner at the Rose and Crown pub and coffee and toast at the Blacksmiths Tea Shop. An excellent stop off on your journey or to visit for a couple of hours.

Absolutely stunning village surrounded by equally stunning countryside, which is immediately accessible by walking. Burwash does look like somewhere straight out of a Hardy novel. Sadly it is ruined by traffic and people speeding through the village. So many of them don't seem to be able to read a 30 mph sign.

I enjoyed every aspect of my stay.

I enjoyed every aspect of my stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pub has a nice welcoming atmosphere. The food is superb, nice produce. Compliments to the chef. My accommodation was better than I thought. Very clean with all the facilities I need. This motel is in a fantastic location for walkers with or with dogs. The views are lovely. The bear garden is very pretty and spacious.

Burwash Village is a beautiful village. Great walks nearby.

Burwash Village is a beautiful village. Great walks nearby. Close to the National Trust Property, Batemans. There is a useful grocery store which stocks all your essentials The little tea room on the High Street is a must visit. Amazing cakes served by really friendly staff. the Rose and Crown pub is a must too, very quaint and again the service is excellent. Very friendly and the rooms for B&B are very clean. Do not go to the Bear pub or stay at the Bear Hotel. The staff are very rude and don't deserve your custom Burwash is ideally placed for Hastings, Eastbourne and Tunbridge Wells

Great countryside location for a weekend escape. Burwash is a small village but it has its history and 2 pubs walking distance from the BnB. In the tradition of a perfect English Host, genuine breakfast was served in the fine china.
