Absolutely first class service, we were leaving early and the lassie that checked us in, (think she was the owner) made us a packed lunch cos we’d left too early for breakfast. Best packed lunch and well prepared even down to the Prawn Cocktail crisps 😊 nice touch. Would have no hesitation recommending the Craignelder Hotel and I’ll definitely be back.

Cairnryan is the main ferry routes for Belfast and Larne in Northern Ireland. The location is close to Stranraer which is a nice town with lots of choice of eateries. Portpatrick is a short drive from Stranraer. Going north is Girvan which is a lovely seaside town with a nice shopping centre and a fabulous fish and chip restaurant. Easy drive from here to Turnberry and surrounding lovely villages. About an hour drive to Ayr which is a lovely town with history.

The facility was clean and comfortable.

The facility was clean and comfortable. We only stayed one night because we were catching the Ferry to Ireland the next day which is close by. We were able to find an outside Laundry on the property of a Petrol station just a 10 minute drive which was unique to us!!

Awful Stena line experience,curry is a disgrace,sandwich is as dry as an oxter in the sahara and it was supposed wet,nan was. A strip of carpet ,.staff treat you as an inconvenience at all times.explain why, Stena, u can't enter cafe 40 mins before crossing when I arrived 3 hours before,do you not want to make money .full of jobsworth idiotic employees and i hopw yhis review which is honest but hits them where it needs to hit in the online paying for tickets witj staenaline,if ever a company needs to fail its stenaline

Homey, friendly and immaculately clean accommodations.

Homey, friendly and immaculately clean accommodations. Pat was so helpful. The driveway is a bit hard to see on the way by but the place is scenic and convenient for leaving on the ferry. Ate a great meal at the Custom House pub.

Our stay was very good. Hosts were helpful and friendly. Room was excellent,it’s our personal choice that we don’t care for black bedding. The room was immaculately clean,shower good. His and her sinks which we liked very much. Rooms were spacious light and comfortable.

The location is great, especially for access to the ferry...

The location is great, especially for access to the ferry ports. We visited Logan Botanic Gardens, Glenwhan Gardens and Castle Kennedy which are all within a short drive from Cairnryan. We had a lovely meal at Henry's Bay House restaurant in Stranraer. Also had a nice snack from Subway in Stranraer and delicious soup with home made bread at Glenwhan Gardens. Would avoid trying to find somewhere to eat in Stranraer town as there are few restaurants that looked appealing.

It was a very late booking as we were supposed to be travelling to Belfast from the port opposite. Our host did everything she could to accommodate us at such short notice! Lovely lady! After looking for hotels in the area, the caravan was by far the best option. We were extremely happy that we chose it. It really lived up to it's name, cosy! The heating was turned on in advance, so when we entered, it was lovely and warm and very welcoming. I would 100% recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the area.

We had a very comfortable stay at Cairnryan Bed and breakfast. Everything is immaculately clean, warm and cosy with lots of thoughtful details and a very welcoming host. Also an excellent breakfast! Perfect location if you are arriving or leaving on the Cairnryan ferry. Only a few minutes drive.

Great location for Cairnryan ferries. Fantastic value, with lots of thoughtful extras only found in large expensive hotels, ie a towelling bathrobe! Comfy bed, hot shower, helpful reception. Would recommend.
