United KingdomWe have stayed in many 5 star hotels around the world, the only thing that stops The Farmhouse being 5 star is there is no lift, however this is not a problem as the staff happily take luggage to and from your room on request.
There is absolutely nothing not like,fabulous rooms (the suites are worth the little extra) but it’s the staff that make this hotel so special. Nothing is too much trouble, professional, smart, efficient always with a smile every single member of staff that we met.
The housekeeping team need to be praised everything spotless every day.
We stayed at this hotel for 18 nights so had a lot of time to find faults, there were none.
And it’s worth mentioning the breakfasts are amazing, a great choice perfectly cooked.
The cost of the rooms is equivalent to to a 3 star hotels around so extremely good value.
To reiterate it’s the staff that made our stay so special, whenever in Guernsey this would always be our choice of hotel.

Guernsey is a beautiful Island.
Guernsey is a beautiful Island. Castel is on the west coast where there is a great choice of beaches, mostly sandy beaches. However, nothing is very far away so all areas of the island are easily accessible.

The hotel was in a good area for touring Guernsey.
The hotel was in a good area for touring Guernsey. We only had a two night stay, but saw a lot of the islands coast and beaches. We took our car so getting around was easy, we covered most of the island in one day, but a few days more would have been ideal.

Castel is a nice coastal part of Guernsey with some craggy picturesque coastal rock formations together with long sandy beaches. Plus some nice bars and restaurants!
A fairly quiet spot but it becomes lively at the weekend.

It’s a great place for families who love beach holidays.
It’s a great place for families who love beach holidays. It’s also great for those interested in history with all the occupation places to visit. There are plenty of good places to eat. We when to Crabby Jacks which has a varied menu. The local kiosks are also great places for a snack. It’s easy to get around either by car or public transport which is very regular. Lots of people came with bikes.

Castel is a good position for trips to any part of Guernsey, particularly the lovely sandy bays all along the North West coastline. Coastal destinations have kiosks for drinks and toilets for comfort. Cobo bay tearooms are a destination for locals and tourists alike, with traditional Guernsey fare and the most amazing home made cakes. A warm summer evening sitting on the beach with Fish and Chips from Cobo chippie, watching the sunset is paradise!

The hotel is very well situated within lovely grounds and you can be at the coast in just a few minutes. Beautiful beaches with cafes and restaurants are close by. There are lovely coastal walks and drives. For those without a car there is a good bus service to take you along the coast or into St Peter Port.

Very comfortable apartment with lovely views across the bay. The combination microwave oven was very useful and enabled us to cook our own meals. We came back one day to find we were kindly given a fan to help combat the heatwave. The use of a washing machine was a great help. It was so easy to get to the beach which was just across the road along with the bus stop with a regular service to st peters port . We enjoyed meals at the chippy and cobo hotel and got groceries at morrisons.

The location was good, central to beaches and things to do/see. 15 minutes to St Peter Port.
Hotel was lovely, staff were excellent and very friendly. Rooms were comfortable and clean.
Breakfast was good, plenty of it and cooked to order. The restaurant attached looked good, though we did not eat there but was always busy.

The hotel is very comfortable and the staff are friendly and welcoming. We took our border collie with us and they were very accommodating. The gardens are lovely plenty of space to walk the dog. Loads of free parking. Great menu and food was exceptional.
