I loved how beautiful and thoughtful every detail was - from the pre-visit emails to check on our preferences, to the personalised touches including the names of myself and my partner, to the extra care in providing fresh milk on our doorstep every morning. The space was gorgeous, and the staff made an effort to warn us of events taking place the nights of our stay, and took extra care to move us to a room that was further away from the main house to ensure privacy and quiet. Also loved the complimentary breakfast - which goes beyond a continental breakfast and included a full English or even a benedict. My partner even borrowed some of their complimentary wellies on a day that we went for a long walk (which were needed in November in the Cotswolds mind you!) so that was an amazing touch.

We like the room and comfortable bed, the breakfast is very good, the location is easy walk into town, we feel the staff are extremely helpful and great, especially a lady called Emma who worked at the reception desk when we stayed.

It was perfect, we stayed for three nights as a honey/baby moon treat and we never wanted to leave. The SPA, the restaurant/bar and the grounds were all fantastic. The staff was also extra lovely, they welcomed us and made us feel special. I highly recommend it.

There was s lively walk nearby, if my dog had been fitter I would have gone much further. I think location is good for a number of interesting places, sadly I didnt have time. When heading for the walk, as directed, be careful of the road as it is in a dip and traffic is fast moving. There is a speex limit but they could do with a speed camera.

We didn't really see anything of Chedworth as the Inn was on the main road (but not noisy!) we tended to drive out to the more touristy areas. Had we stayed longer we would have explored more of the area. Hawkstone Brewery is nearby and had we known beforehand we would have booked the Brewery Tour.

Great food friendly staff, a lovely historical building , downside snall room, but badly let down by the bathroom needed a deep clean behind the toilet and the shower unit has black mould all round the sealant on the foot tray, not acceptable for the tarriff being charged.

Meals were good. Dog friendly. Grounds very nice.

Meals were good. Dog friendly. Grounds very nice. Rooms were awful. In need of redecoration. Dusty, cobwebs everywhere, chipped mugs, no useable showers, broken sash cord so couldn't open window, mouse droppings in one room. Hotel is on busy road and not in Chedworth. Circular walk in grounds totally overgrown. Booked for a superior double room but was no different to other rooms. Very overpriced. Wouldn't stay there again.
