Chipping Norton is an ideal staging post for the Cotswolds within easy striking distance of Diddly Squat Farm, The Rollright Stones, Bourton on the Water and its model village, Stow on the Wold, Lower and Upper Slaughter, Bibury, Tetbury, Broadway and the jewel in its crown --the exquisite birthplace of Winston Churchill at Blenheim Palace. The town itself has a myriad of pubs and first class restaurants (especially La Vecchia Cantina Italian) and also houses a quaint theatre from a bygone age which offers a wide spectrum of entertainment.

The village was lovely.

The village was lovely. We had breakfast in Nero’s nearly every day, we needed the air conditioning in the cafe due to the heatwave. Good location for travelling to Oxford, Bourton on the Water and Diddly Squat Farm. Italian restaurant opposite our hotel was fantastic, La Veccia I think it was called, as was The Rolling Hills Burger Bar.

Chippy is in a great place to explore the Cotswolds.

Chippy is in a great place to explore the Cotswolds. The town is small, but has everything we needed, including a Coop supermarket and an excellent department store. The weekly market is small but good. Good pubs, and reasonable takeaways for the evenings. We found the local very friendly and welcoming. Good advice and good humour.

Stayed for four nights, the hotel room was clean and spacious. They have a good bar area and sports for those who watch. Ideal for couples travelling alone and for kids, as there is a large kids play area next to the hotel. My favourite was the buffet breakfast, which has been one of my faviourites, and there were constantly staff maintaining the breakfast area. I booked myself in for a signature massage on my last day, and she was really good. We visited Oxford for shopping, Cotswolds wildlife park, Upper and Lower Slaughters, Bourton on the water, and Diddly Squat Farm.

Chipping Norton is a very pretty place with access to many places of interest, particularly Stow-on-the-Wold. The Sheep Hotel proved excellent for meals. The countryside is stunning. Found the roads a big challenge due to potholes, which in many instances were significant, particularly for a smaller vehicle.

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful loft room. The location was excellent, within easy walking distance of everything in Chipping Norton, and the view was outstanding. The room was thoughtfully laid out, very well equipped, spotlessly clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We also appreciated the dedicated parking space nearby and how easy the property was to access. The hosts were friendly, thoughtful and helpful throughout.

What an amazing hotel Warner Heythrop is. The staff are incredibly attentive, the food is very nice with a great choice, the entertainment has plenty of options, the spa and pool were clean and very relaxing and honestly you feel refreshed afterwards. Highly recommend it, we will be going for another trip soon.

Nice location in Chipping Norton. We stayed 2 nights and had a car, and were very grateful that there was always a car spot available at the hotel (they only have 4 spaces so cannot guarantee this). The tea and coffee facilities and complimentary biscuits were appreciated.
