Lovely location in a quiet street off the main town. Secure private parking. Host was fantastic, helpful, friendly, nothing too much trouble. His art work is amazing. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of options. Room was large, clean and very comfortable.

The cottage was immaculately clean and beautifully furnished. It was spacious and had the added bonus of having lovely rare birds and goats nearby , which my daughter loved. It was lovely and quiet and just what we needed whilst we were visiting family who are local to the area.

Everything, the cabin, the hot tub, the location, the owners were nothing but friendly. Fire and hot tub lit on arrival, a good central location with some stunning parts of Devon 30 minutes away. Not to forget the home made brownies and cider on arrival!

The location was stunning, we had to drive from our lodge to...

The location was stunning, we had to drive from our lodge to the hub and the restaurant though as my mother is not very mobile. The hot tub is an extra cost but it would have been a shame to have it there but not be able to use it and it was checked daily. Overall it was the best break we have had and we hope to make it an annual tradition now!

We loved the location, the Edwardian manor and the excellent food and the indoor pool and the hub where we spent a lot of time playing pool or table tennis or taking part in quizes. We were disappointed with the outdoor pool, which was small, kidney shaped, no changing facilities and without any shade (since we were there in a hot spell). This would be far worse during school holidays. Unfortunately this was defined by a nice wall around it, which probably had been a walled garden. However, from the moment we woke up we were either swimming or walking the grounds and enjoying the fabulous view.

We really enjoyed the location and the activities and facilities the hotel had. The lodge was beautiful and very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed which was really nice. The shop in the reception was really helpful and had some good things. Really liked the fact that we could communicate with a staff member over a wastapp chat and get more information this way through out our stay. The hot tub was very clean and worked well.

The lodges are just brilliant value for money - way better than a hotel as you get so much space. They are also really well appointed - probably the best self catering lodges we’ve ever found. All of the facilities at the resort are lovely - great restaurant, swimming pool and spa. The hot tub is by far the best thing though - just fab to relax in after a long walk.

If you want a break away from it all, this place is just perfect...our lodge was spotless, and has everything needed for our few days break. All the leisure facilities in the hotel are included in your stay. The food we ate from the restaurant was great, so all round the resort is definitely the place to stay.

Loved it..Beautiful lodges, decent price in low season. Great for our dog, great for us. Stunning grounds and the hotel swimming pool, sauna and steam room were a good treat after a long walk and day out.
