Rory and Julie were exception hosts. Rory went to the trouble to go and purchase a fan as we were there during a very hot weekend and I am a lady of a certain age that overheats easily ;). The cottage however is very cool in the summer and it was a pleasure to go back there after a hot day. I can imagine it would be very cozy in the winter too. The cottage was well equipped with everything we could possibly need and we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend there. I would highly recommend booking this cottage it's location in the village is superb with the village shop and village pub mere steps away. The little extras were much appreciated with Tea, coffee, sugar and milk provide and the lovely touch of a lemon drizzle cake from the local village shop. Thank you so much for a fabulous weekend.

Fabulous breakfast! Accommodating options for dinner especially when one comes without wheels so can only eat in town. Lovely room. A treat to have tea & coffee (plus biscuits) available at any time. Should I ever find myself returning to this area, I won't hesitate to stay here again.

The staff and guests were friendly, and very helpful, and genuinely nice in my view. Good people and a good place. Plenty of charm. The grounds were gorgeous. The spa facility and staff were exceptional.

Lovely location in a quiet street off the main town. Secure private parking. Host was fantastic, helpful, friendly, nothing too much trouble. His art work is amazing. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of options. Room was large, clean and very comfortable.

Very clean and cozy, looking at a wide piece of green space. Nicki is so friendly and considerate while Rob is a great cook. Nicki is enthusiastic to provide lots of travelling information of the area. Excellent full English breakfast.

Just perfect! Such a gorgeous cottage as the pictures illustrate. Ideally located for exploring the beautiful village and short car journey into Barnstaple and surrounding areas! It was well equipped with all the comforts of home, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Our host and owner Emma and Richard were always available should the need arise. Me and my wife thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return again one day soon!

We greatly appreciated the peaceful location.

We greatly appreciated the peaceful location. The farm is well situated for country walks, and the 15 minute walk to The Bell for dinner was perfect. The Bell was lively (it was the Easter holidays) and cheerful. We had pub meal and the portion sizes were huge! It is easy to find your way around, and we enjoyed seeing the local church on the opposite side of the square from the Bell.
