Everything. The hosts Kat & Andrea were so welcoming. The bedrooms, sitting area and bathrooms are stylish and comfortable. The breakfasts were fabulous - Great choice and delicious. We also had the dinner one evening which was perfect

One of the nicest B&Bs we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Katarina is the perfect host, attending to every need with a kind word and friendly smile. The house is gorgeous and immaculately maintained, and the extensive creek side grounds offer great scope for contemplative strolls.

Everything about this hotel was perfect – the service, the staff, and the atmosphere. Highly recommended! The food was amazing and staff were very friendly. We needed to get to Kennacraig Port early in the morning but couldn’t find a taxi. One of the staff members went above and beyond and drove me there! Thanks to their help, I made it to Islay without any problems. Truly amazing hospitality!

Property is off the beaten track, restful and comfortable...

Property is off the beaten track, restful and comfortable but full of character. You can't help but love the free range poultry. Spend time at Tarbert marina and enjoy the artisan food, loads of walks and only an hour to Campbeltown with miles of Machrihanish beach nearby. Remember although Clachan is small and you can access the beach or indeed the hill fort by walking , the local Fuel Station is unbelievably reasonable for all your needs when you want to go further afield or head off to the islands on the Cal Mac ferries.

20 mins drive from Tarbert - Starfish Inn highly recommended...

20 mins drive from Tarbert - Starfish Inn highly recommended to eat. Great seafood. Clachan is situated on the main road to Campbelltown ie 50 mins. Close to ferry links to Gigha & Islay. Clachan is quiet, small hamlet with Petrol station.

Very peaceful cottage with a wood burning stove.

Very peaceful cottage with a wood burning stove. Being old and a little time-worn added to the character for me, but it might not be right for people looking for modern fittings and fantastically smooth wipe clean surfaces. Reliable wi-fi. Very comfy bed and seats. Car parking at the door. At the price point the cottage was excellent value. Twenty minutes walk to a deserted beach of soft white sand. Lots of islands, coastline and walking paths to explore. A day trip to Gigha was our highlight, we cycled up to the twin beaches, then had lunch at the Boathouse, where my wife had the biggest and best crab she has ever had. We would go back for sure.
