Ive stayed at the Lancaster hotel for years ,it has never changed which I like. it is quirky and old but clean and very good value and very dog friendly.the staff have always been brilliant It is basic and no thrills but has everything you need, location is great. I wouldn't stay anywhere els in oban. They have never charged for dogs which is a bonus as every where is up to £10 per night per dog.

We had a lovely, large and bright renovated room with a kitchenette. Excellent value and service, we had a wonderful stay and can highly recommend.

Everything exceeded our expectations, from the staff to the view from room, to the sitting area with the wee bar and the £5 breakfast bag.. Perfect

The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. The room and bathroom were very small but sufficient for a short stay. They don't offer breakfast, however, at 7:30 they leave a goodie bag in front of each room with drinks and food. Absolutely amazing alternative! We enjoyed it a lot! Definitely recommend :)

From the moment we arrived we felt welcome, your staff at reception, dinner and breakfast were all so lovely. Our dinner and breakfast were very good with GF options for me being Coeliac. Our room was beautiful and bed super comfortable. The view of the water from our window was so beautiful and the location was perfect for a walk into town. We would definitely recommend staying at Muthu Alexandra Hotel if you are visiting Oban

Large room with really comfortable beds and an AMAZING view. The place is a bit tired but we loved it.

Lovely hotel in Oban perfect location for exploring

The location was great, right along the seafront in Oban. The place was spotless and in excellent condition. But what set it apart for us was the staff and the overall service. Carrie was informative and friendly throughout our stay. From the warm welcome, to helpful information during our stay, through to the friendly goodbye to us and our dog on departure, she and the rest of the staff made the visit one we hope to repeat. Breakfast, too, was well executed and made for a nice start to each day.

The staff were wonderfully helpful, making multiple recommendations to make our time in Scotland more enjoyable.

Good location, parking space was 5min walk away. Rooms were nice and cozy with sea view too. Breakfast was impressive.

We loved this place. Location was great with a beautiful view of Oban. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. The bathrooms were clean and new. We had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely book again.

Breakfast was great! Setting and rooms out of a movie gorgeous! Sayward our concierge was exceptional in every respect and we enjoyed role playing in their first mystery dinner. Dinner was elegant and Paul and his wife, owners, deserve a round of applause for their warmth and hospitality!

I have stayed at many places but the Oyster Inn surpasses every other place by far. From the warm welcome and information given on check in to the beautiful clean comfortable room to the excellent meal and service. Breakfast was plentiful and very enjoyable. I must mention William ( table / bar staff) what a personality and smiled the whole time. Interaction with staff and customers was entertaining and refreshing. A total asset to the already fantastic team. Would highly recommend this place for a visit.

Beautiful hotel, details, great food. The restaurant is better than many places even being a hotel. You can book for dinner even you can not stay at the hotel if being sold out etc...
