The Staff were so friendly the host was great so warm and welcoming and the room was comfortable . Lovely big soft towels , the fruit shoots in the room were a great touch for the children ( I have never seen this before and think it's a wonderful idea as children don't want a tea or coffee) The food was delicious also we ate in the evening and morning . The location is great and we loved the beach. The pool table was a great hit with our son also .

"Cluny Hill Is Awaiting You Review - email" .... well I reviewed it already because I stayed at the start of my road trip and it was so good I booked again for the end of the trip ;) its a lovely place --- look it up on wikipedia, not as popular now as it was in the past BUT actually freshly decorated and very comfy, book now whilst its still cheap because if the new owner does this place up and markets it well it should make a premium top notch place for a top notch price.

Favourite place in Findhorn is the beach.

Favourite place in Findhorn is the beach. There are several places to eat in the area, our favourite was the kimberley inn.car parking in findhorn isnt so good streets are narrow and at times spaces hard to find, one way system in village. If driving a large camper van watch out roads can get tight with several sharp corners to manage. Bike hire available nearby

Travel here if you need a place to fully rest your body, mind and soul. The site is beautiful, immaculately clean and caters for all kinds of disability along with pets in selected accomodation. The shop has everything you need for food (except a shaver adapter and camping repair kit for wet weather items) as it is there for the village itself. It is mostly organic/fairtrade and sustainable items. The Phoenix cafe is vegetarian and the food is good. Saturdays are very busy after10am until noon and we waited 35 mins for our breakfast so factor this in with your stay. The beach is lovely as is the forest that surrounds the village, so if you love the outdoors you will love walking around here. You can walk along the beach to Findhorn village and we can thoroughly recommend the food there in the Bay cafe and Kimberly pub we went to. Be aware that there are only a few buses from Findhorn route to Forres so please book taxis in advance or try to plan your day around the public transport as the internet on route walking is sparse.

The beach there was beautiful with a bay that went round in almost a circle. It was popular with dog walkers. It was cold and windy on the day we were there, but I would imagine on a nice day you could sit on the beach. Beautiful views all round. Close to a nice pub where we stayed which does very nice food which is good value for money. The beach was very quiet and had a nice calming atmosphere.

Findhorn is a special place to us! Lots of lovely beach walks and lovely cafes/pubs too. Abbey Cottage is hosted by Alex and Christine and Alex sorted out a problem with the TV very swiftly - nothing is too much trouble for him!
