I enjoyed the walk at the bottom of the pub garden, along the river Wey The room and bathroom were really lovely, with beautiful decor The extras in the room were much appreciated, for example the radio, welcome note, oat milk sachets and vegan down pillows and pillow spray Restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful

It was in a good location for the wedding we attended.

It was in a good location for the wedding we attended. However, a door fell off its hinges outside our first room and nearly flattened my husband. In the second room, the shower tray didn't drain and flooded the bathroom. Overall the hotel was very shabby and had a weird, eerie ambience. The one lady member of staff present throughout our two day stay was, however, very helpful.

Very picturesque, nice local pubs short distance from London...

Very picturesque, nice local pubs short distance from London but you feel away from it all. Worth a visit even for the day. Would recommend The Stag on the River for food. Lots of walkers and a great Sunday lunch 😋

Godalming is a gorgeous market town.

Godalming is a gorgeous market town. It's set in the heart of Surrey with lovely countryside and close to many lovely locations, e.g. RHS Wisley, Windsor and many more. All relatively within 1 to 2 hrs.

Godalming is a lovely little town, fairly flat and interesting to walk around. It is a good base to other areas too. We went to the Watts Gallery and Chapel, it was the prime reason for our visit and we weren’t disappointed. It is also close to Guildford with really good London links.

Nice town, which we'd not visited for nearly 50 years - the first, apparently, to be lit by electric light (1881). It's a super high street, and there's a nice riverside park with a colonnade dedicated to Jack Phillips, who was the wireless operator on the Titanic. He also gives his name to the town's Wetherspoons! The Surrey Hills countryside around Godalming is really lovely too.

I wasn’t coming for pleasure so had dinner in the hotel both...

I wasn’t coming for pleasure so had dinner in the hotel both nights. Just 3 parking spaces ludicrous. However, public car park free after 6.30pm right through Sunday. But as I had arrived on Friday it would have cost more into Saturday morning. The room 104 was small and over the kitchen air con units. On the plus side, short corridor outside and no upper storey so blissfully quiet. Would have preferred a bath.

Jan & his team were excellent. Everything was excellent! I jest not, Anything I needed was sorted out, the breakfasts were fantastic, and the room was perfect. I used to live in Godalming and remember how the kings arms was back in the late 90's early 2000's and I would say that it is the best it has ever been. Kudos and all my thanks to the team here for a a wonderful stay (And Jan specifically for sorting out my initial mistake on my booking which was swiftly resolved) and I will be back again! (You can count on it!)

Proximity to the beautiful small town of Godalming. Clean and comfortable accommodation. Relaxing to come back to after a day exploring the area.no breakfast but good facilities for this in town. Really good food amazing 12 oz steak meal and friendly helpful staff.

Great hotel. Every hotel member i spoke to very polite and helpful. Room very comfortable and easy to get good sleep on double bed. For breakfast the scrambled eggs were i think the best i have ever had!
