I loved this old coach house. It was filled with of old world charm. The room was excellent- we didn’t actually have a meal in the restaurant but our breakfast was delicious, all prepared to order. I wished I could stay longer

A great village, very welcoming and fabulous location for...

A great village, very welcoming and fabulous location for walks into the Peak District. We stayed during the "pram race" was was brilliant and quintessentially 'English" only second to Morris Dancing. Everyone we spoke to were friendly and welcoming in the village.

Will go again to see the caverns because i arrived 4 hours...

Will go again to see the caverns because i arrived 4 hours late due to a road accident, halved my day. Need more time as I did not expect to see such views and saw 1/10 as what was available. Definately going back this year for 3 nights in the Autum, Millstone Country Inn Hathersage.

Its a peaceful and deliteful little village.

Its a peaceful and deliteful little village. Though you need a car as there is no taxis locally available but the bus service is very good. Lots of other small villages to visit near by. Few cafes and eating places. For solo travellers, hiking and bicycling

A fantastic hotel located in a perfect location within a small town. The facilities and amenities in the hotel are of a high standard and are very enjoyable after a long day, with several areas available to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The staff are amazing, very friendly and welcoming and always have time to stop, speak and just make you feel like a person rather than a number. Finally the food on an evening is superb and definitely value for money. The breakfast is equally as good with good local produce being used and served, which is very much evident. Overall a fantastic second stay at the hotel and I will return next year

Try the hop on hop off bus to get around good value.

Try the hop on hop off bus to get around good value. You can get to Chatsworth, Castleton and Bakewell and many more in between. Would also recommend the Indian restaurant Maazi in Hathersage plenty of choice and good service.

Nice little town, several choices of eating places.

Nice little town, several choices of eating places. Bank House was excellent for evening meal. I like the fact there is a lido in the town, though we didn't swim there. Must be lovely with the hills all around. Great starting point for exploring - lovely walks along the river Derwent and up to the "Edges" among the birch trees. Short drive to Bakewell, Baslow, Chatsworth, Castleton, Ladybower. Chesterfield or Sheffield if you want bigger towns.

The hotel is only up the hill from the centre of Hathersage, with lovely views back down the valley. The owners are so friendly; great food (loved the authentic Italian food- the tiramisu and cannoli are to die for! but English classics are on the menu too); breakfast is a treat (the fresh fruit and pastries are a lovely touch); the room met our needs with a great view.
