The room was clean and spacious. Beds were super comfy. I slept like a log and we spent the majority of our time on our beds so the fact that we were comfortable was ideal. Breakfast was filling and freshly cooked. My son had the kippers which made a nice change for him as it's not something usually offered on a breakfast menu. I had the full english as I'm a creature of habit, both of which were just what we needed to set us up for the day and very reasonably priced too. We booked in advance which saved us a couple of pounds but would have happily paid the full price. Christmas day lunch in their sister restaurant was amazing and well worth the price. The staff in both sites were amazing, helpful, polite and courteous.

An absolute gem of a place, the Devonian is exceptional in every way. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable and clean. The breakfast was simply divine. The common areas are tastefully designed and furnished. And the garden is glorious. I can’t recommend the Devonian highly enough.

Ilfracombe is well worth a visit, if you like dramatic scenery and a fun day out by the coast. There’s plenty to see and do. Recommend visiting the harbour and verity statue, it’s out of this world. Plenty of eateries/restaurants around and ice cream places, it’s easy to get around the town/high street but be mindful that there is a lot of hills.

There are some lovely walks from Ilfracombe. The footpath to Lee is a great walk with some challenging slopes. The beach at Lee and the nearby Grampus Inn are perfect for a rest. The Tandoori Night restaurant in Ilfracombe serves excellent, traditional Indian cuisine.

A beautiful, immaculate guest house, with fantastic views.

A beautiful, immaculate guest house, with fantastic views. A great welcome by Sharon, and although we had all been before years ago, Sharon was still very informative and so interested what we had done the day before while at breakfast. We were 3 couples and nothing was too much trouble, especially at breakfast time. The breakfast menu was absolutely fantastic with great choices, and served by Sharon & Sue, who missed nothing. The Guesthouse is in a brilliant position, walkable to the Harbour with some gorgeous restaurants on the way. Private parking (near by)is available for a small cost which well worth it. Definitely will stay again as Sharon & Daryl are great hosts and brilliant communicators even before we arrived. We ate at The Thatched Inn, fantastic food, last orders for food is 7.30pm, The Lime Kiln, beautiful views, relaxed atmosphere and good food also. Nice Devon crab sandwiches and bottle of wine at The Quay. While the guys played golf on 2 days, the ladies took the Sea lion & Lighthouse cruise and next day afternoon tea at Sandy Cove hotel which was absolutely stunning. Thank you all.

Having not been to Ilfracombe for more than 40 years it was nice to revisit. The harbour area is bustling and enjoyable to walk around with pubs, cafe's etc to cater for most. A few small beaches only a few minutes walk from the harbour are not too crowded and clean. We did some coastal walks during our short stay and the weather was lovely, the scenic views were superb. The high street has very little to inspire visitors. We walked along it at around 8pm to find somewhere to have a meal but choices are very limited and the resort in general seems to wind down quite early which left us using a local supermarket each evening instead. Nice for families with kids who enjoy daytime activities and evenings indoors.

The High Street is a bit narrow and run down, but the area around the harbour area is perfect for visitors. The pubs in this area are very good for food and a few drinks and the taxis are dog friendly.

There are some amazing walks and scenery around the harbour...

There are some amazing walks and scenery around the harbour and beaches. There are plenty areas for a bit of crabbing and fishing, and the beaches have dark sand that are clean and accessible, and rock poola aplenty. The pubs, restaurants and cafes are plentiful and offer great value for money. The main high street is a short, but uphill walk from the beaches and promenade. There is a variety of restaurants, pubs, takeaways, coffee shops and cafes that all look busy at the time of our visit. A short drive either way from Ilfracombe offers some incredible views and outstanding walking, and there is a golf course that is well worth a visit.

A very well located hotel, close to the harbour. Also appreciated the help I had from the receptionist when I checked in. Found the hotel convenient and the room was fine. Would stay here again if coming to Ilfracombe. Eating choices, good ones, included the Dolphin restaurant, the George and Dragon pub, the Hop nearby and the Indian restaurant in the High Street. Enjoyed visits to Croyde and Woolacombe. Great walk on the Tarka Trail from Instow to Bideford. Only prob being cancellation of trip to Lundy, winds an issue.

Very welcoming hosts, nice comfy beds spotlessly clean room and en-suite. Plenty of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits which were replenished daily. Excellent breakfast which set us up for the day!😋 Host was helpful in recommending a nice restaurant just along the road for dinner, also helpful with parking, nothing was too much trouble. Great location so close to the harbour 🥰

Stayed at Collingdale B&B and absolutely loved it. The location is unbeatable — gorgeous sea views that make every morning feel special. The hosts were genuinely lovely, welcoming from the moment I arrived and full of helpful local tips. Comfortable rooms, great atmosphere, and a perfect base for exploring Ilfracombe. Would happily stay again.
