The property was good value for a 4 bed rental and the house was clean, beds were comfortable and the property was well located in the heart of the village. Liss is very picturesque and is also close to good road networks.

The Buffet at breakfast was very good with a variety of choice. however, I do think that teas and coffees should be served in teapots and coffee containers instead of self service. It would also be nice for toast to be served instead of having to wait in line to use the toaster.

The cabin was beautifully styled and was light and airy. A lovely big comfy bed, good facilities and in a secluded and peaceful setting next to the main house. Good communications beforehand with Debbie and a really delicious breakfast of warm pastries, yogurt, granola, fresh fruit etc was waiting for us on the doorstep in the morning. We originally planned to leave first thing in the morning to travel on to friends in the West Country but ended up delaying our journey by a couple of hours as it was so lovely being in the cabin!

Liss is small but has a couple of small supermarkets, bakers, DIY, dentist, doctor, chemist, takeaways and a fantastic cafe called the Turtle Bean. It's about an hour and ten mins to London on the train.

This is a delightful pub in Rake, Liss. We stayed overnight and had dinner and breakfast. Staying in an ensuite double room. The room was clean, comfy and had all the facilities required. It was pie night in the bar and restaurant. There was a great choice of meals and the pies were fantastic. The pies we had were full of filling and delicious. There were other non pie options. Breakfast was great and was cooked fresh for each customer. Really great place to stay and excellent value.

Stayed here after visiting Goodwood FOS, location was ideal and easy to find. Room was small but very comfy beds and clean! The staff were super friendly! Breakfast was one of the tastiest Breakfast we've had from a hotel in years, could definitely tell everything was fresh and locally sourced, exceptional. We also had dinner the night before the food was equally as delicious, a small but tasty menu with lots of seasonal specials! Lovely little pub ❤️

I booked it for my family and anoither couple. They were very complementary of the place and well pleased. They especially appreciated the friendlness and helpfulness of the staff. (You were a hit Sharon!). The breakfast was great! As I live in Liss, it was very convenient for me to be with them and pick them up for outings. I will recommend the Jolly Drover....

This is our second stay here and was not dissapointed. The rooms were excelent, staff friendly and helpful and breakfast superb. The price was a little higher than some other hotels in the area but you get what you pay for and this was quiet , friendly with a nice pub atmosphere without the usual roudiness.
