Adorable place, loved the personality of the owner (without actually seeing anyone). Great location with helpful binder of local attractions and food options. Quaint in a good way - clean, comfy, and excellent value. It looked just like the pictures in the listing. We had great weather so we ate out front and people-watched which was fun - for us and, seemingly, the locals.

Very nice and lovely place. A little bit tricky to found the location, but the owner sent the pictures which makes it easier to found. The bed is comfortable, shower, toilet and all what you need for peaceful stay, no phone signal, just nature and good company, feels like out of the world and technologies

We had a fantastic 4-night stay at Wild Valley Bunkhouse as...

We had a fantastic 4-night stay at Wild Valley Bunkhouse as a family of four and would highly recommend it. Graeme and Heather were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. We were greeted with a delicious freshly baked loaf of bread along with a selection of condiments, which was a lovely and thoughtful touch. The bunkhouse itself was comfortable, clean, and very well equipped. Although compact, it had everything we needed for our stay, including a well-equipped kitchen, fridge freezer, table and chairs, comfortable beds, and a reliable Wi-Fi connection. It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into ensuring guests have everything they need. The location was excellent. The surrounding scenery was stunning, and we particularly enjoyed the beautiful views on our journeys towards Snowdonia. It also proved to be a great base for exploring the wider area. We took day trips to Liverpool and Chester Zoo, both of which were easily accessible by car. For essentials, the local Spar is only around a 10-minute drive away. Overall, this was excellent value for money and one of the most welcoming places we have stayed. Thank you, Graeme and Heather, for helping to make our family holiday so enjoyable. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Loved the people in this village - from the ladies serving...

Loved the people in this village - from the ladies serving breakfast at Gegin Fach and the young woman in the chippy, to the gentlemen at Spar and the local corner shop. We got photos at Pistyll Rhaeadr - returned after weekend as there was no parking first time around. Parking at top is £5 with 50p to use toilet which is more secure than a prison. We used the village as a base for a day at Lake Vyrnwy - shout out to the owner of The Chocolate Cabin at the lake. Her coffees and chocolates are awesome. Such a pretty area, must be confident on single track roads with loose sheep and pheasants. Highly recommend Maytree Cottage for couples if visiting this area.

Very close to attractions like Pistyll Rhaeadr (a famous waterfall), Lake Vyrnwy, and the southern edge of Snowdonia National Park, Zip World Velocity, Aquaduct. We tried welsh cakes, bara birth and not to miss lamb.

The village is pretty and olde-worlde and offers several shops, two take away food outlets and a pub serving a good variety of meals. Phone & wifi reception is good. The surrounding countryside is just asking to be explored :-)

This is a great little get away village.

This is a great little get away village. Everything you need for a lovely stay. Friendly locals, good food, great pubs and shops seem to provide all you need. Countryside is lovely and surrounding area has some beautiful spots
