Ian and Joan are very sociable, great hosts with marvelous customer skills. Nothing was too much trouble. Our king size room was exceptionally clean with incredible views. Food was brilliant and very well priced and plenty of it.

We had the most tranquil weekend at the Charcoal Cabin. We were greeted by the lovely John, who showed us around and explained how to use the heater, shower, toilet, and all the cabin’s features. What John and Dinah have created here is something truly special, full of heart and soul, and a peaceful escape in the most stunning location. The cabin was easy to find, and we spent our time exploring the nearby forest, having lunch in Llandovery, playing games and vinyl records in the cabin provided by John and Dinah, and cooking in the outdoor kitchen. The next day we did the Four Waterfalls Trail, which was incredible. We wish we’d booked for more than one night, it was perfect. We can’t wait to return in the future!

Such a beautiful location; very peaceful and quiet with amazing views. Sue and Ken, the hosts, are very friendly and helpful, happy to have a chat but not in your face. And, of course, not forgetting Max and Meg. The accommodation is perfect for one person or a couple. Sue and Ken were very happy for me to sit in their lovely garden, which was great as it was hot when I was there.

Lovely quiet place. Great views and scenery. Visited Llandeilo which was quaint and went to a lovely coffee shop for coffee and cake! On a Monday, quite a few of the shops were closed but not a problem for us.

Without a doubt I would recommend to stay at Raven’s Rest.

Without a doubt I would recommend to stay at Raven’s Rest. A beautiful stay, with an amazing scenery. A perfect place to stay if you enjoy nature. It was extremely clean and very cozy (one of the comfiest pillows/bed I’ve laid on) I felt right at home with the kindest hosts Sue and Ken, and motivated to explore around the beautiful location. Endless things to do nearby, and all the best places within reasonable distance. Very convenient yet memorable place. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ didn’t want to leave. Missing it all already.

The location was quiet & picturesque.

The location was quiet & picturesque. It's a good base to visit local towns & villages. We visited Llandeilo, Camarthan, Llandovery & Penllergare Woods in our short stay. However, there are a lot of opportunities on your doorstep to explore.

Idyllic, peaceful, (semi) remote; this beautiful place is perfect for a break where you just relax and unwind. Our hosts were superb, and amazingly helpful, they gave us a warm welcome and an informative tour of the facilities. The caravan was a beautiful little thing; beautifully presented and immaculate. The other facilities; bathroom, loo and cooking area where well laid out and perfectly clean. The hot tub was spacious and HOT. It was peacful, tranquil and right out in the middle of the counutryside. We both agreed that this was probably the best location we'd ever been to for a short break.

We had a fantastic stay at Pippin Lodge. The building has been freshly renovated to a very high standard, with the downstairs having a lovely farmhouse feel, whilst the upstairs is more in keeping with a boutique hotel, with super comfy beds and a fantastic view. The location is also superb, right on the edge of Bannau Brycheiniog with easy access to mid wales/the coast as well. Look forward to returning in the future.
