Did have a nice room. Very high ceiling big room, big bathroom and big bed so happy. Breakfast was included and very nice selection. I also give 10 out of 10 due to the fact they give the tea or the coffee in a pot. I love my tea in a teapot. Cannot stand the hotels that expect you to put a teabag in a cup to get a good cup of tea. So enjoyed my time there and glad I booked that hotel.

I was working in darlington for a few months once a week. Was on expenses so could stop anywhere I wanted. Chose here every time and will again if im ever working down that way. Great place in a great location. Thanks pauline👍

Booking was easy and uncomplicated. The hotel is in an excellent location. Breakfast was and my one evening meal were excellent. The staff are very efficient, attentive and friendly. Less than hour's drive from South Tyneside, Lucy Cross was a nice place for peace and quiet more than anything. Callum was there to welcome us, basically, a lovely bloke. We met his partner the morning we left (I think her name was Abby...the joys of listening to too much rock music and going deaf!!) Other people were staying there but we found them very friendly, the kitchen, sitting room and dining room were available to everyone. We had a shower in our room but there is a bath in a separate bathroom. We visited Richmond and Ripon, they can be quite busy for parking, make sure you have plenty change or try and get a parking disc. Lovely places to visit, plenty of places to eat and bars for some proper Yorkshire ales. Highly recommend The Crown Inn, Manfield. A 3 minute drive or 20 minute walk from Lucy Cross (we didn't walk as the roads have no paving and no lighting) We never got the chance to try The Stanwick Arms in Aldborough St John roughly the same distance from Lucy Cross. We'll try there the next time.

It was really, easy to find and lovely room and house with...

It was really, easy to find and lovely room and house with use of all the facilities. Would recommend if in the area as its handy for several places Darlington is the main location to visit but it is also useful for Croft racing circuit aswell to name a few. Good value for money.

We travelled to change our car in Darlington next day, but a few pints and eating out the night before was great, as was the late night chat and extra drinks with the host and his friends when we got back. Nice laid-back set up, not for everyone, but great for us.
