Location was very good , close to the railway and bus stops . The staff were excellent. We asked the landlord if we could leave our luggage after check out and was very happy to do this . This was a very big help.

Not the most famous Cotswolds site, but for accommodation is a good choice, in the center of this Cotswolds region, ideal for star tours for some of the attractions (Stow, Bourton on the Waters, Burford, Bibury), and for garden fans Sezincote, Hidecote, Kiftsgate, Snowshill, Broadway.

Moreton-in-Marsh is a pretty little village, highly walkable...

Moreton-in-Marsh is a pretty little village, highly walkable, with many activities within walking distance. The High Street has shops, restaurants, and a supermarket. You can walk to many of the trailheads to walk through the fields. Easy walk to the arboretum or falconry centre. The one negative thing I would say is how there is constant traffic on the high street, making the outdoor space loud and unpleasant. They ruined their village center for people who aren't even stopping in town, and instead passing through.

It is a very attractive town with the range of good eateries...

It is a very attractive town with the range of good eateries and cafés. It is within walking distance (approx 1hr on an attractive, mostly well signed posted, cross country rural walk) of Longborough Opera which is our main reason for going. The walk back to MNM at the end of the Opera is absolutely glorious (see photos). It has a good gelateria! The bad news is there is very little lower budget accommodation; surprisingly few B&Bs and guest houses, and only higher end hotel options. Information about public transport is seriously lacking and there is inadequate taxi service cover.

There are fewer shops than there were when we visited a few...

There are fewer shops than there were when we visited a few years ago but there are some decent pubs and nice cafes. The Co-Op has to be one the smartest ones in the country. The Aldi is handy, too. The main road through the town gets very congested.

It’s a lovely little Cotswold town with plenty of cafes...

It’s a lovely little Cotswold town with plenty of cafes shops and pubs. Both main hotels have excellent restaurants. The only problem is getting into it by road - it’s a bit of a bottleneck in the afternoon

This would actually have been a better focal point for my travels around the Cotswold, than where I actually stayed during most of the two weeks. I do not drive, and the transportation resources here are very good.

The property is a lovely 5 minute walk from the train station, which is great for some rest after a long day of travelling! The location of the property is also perfect for brrakfast, lunch and dinner as there are so many restaurants and pubs within walking distance! The rooms are made beautifully and come with a lovely welcome basket filled with all sorts of amazing goodies! Loved this property to bits and will definitely be using it as my go to for Moreton in Marsh! Staff are also super friendly and made check-in a seamless experience!

Breakfast was delicious, room was cosy, location is right on the high street so great for access to all the shops etc. Accessible room was a decent size with a nice en-suite with bath and wet room shower setup. Modern TV with all the streaming apps too. Direct access from the room out to a courtyard area was perfect for our little puppy too. The hotel supplies a nice doggy bag of goodies and bowls in the room for food and water was a lovely touch.

This cottage was a home from home and exceeded our expectations. We had eveything we needed and loved every minute. We stayed in to cook during our stay, but the high street was a hustle and bustle of shops, bars and restaurants. The log burner was amazing and our bulldog loved it too.
