Friendly staff. Lovely clean comfortable room (I stayed in room 2) great breakfast. Fantastic location for me geocaching in the area. I would certainly return if I am in the area again.

The bedroom was very clean, warm and comfortable. A big bonus was having TWO armchairs so that my wife and I could both sit comfortably and watch TV. The meals we had at The Olde Windmill were excellent and breakfasts were cooked to order, which was great. The best feature of the Olde Windmill Inn is the staff. They are smiley, happy people for whom nothing is too much trouble. Overall, an excellent experience.

Breakfast was very enjoyable, prepared by Sean in a timely and friendly way. Location for a birdwatching holiday was excellent, most of the species you associate with Suffolk coastal heaths are here instead; nightingales at Maids Cross Hill (saw one singing, requires perseverance), nightjars displaying and making their famous churring song on Brandon Heath and stone curlews at Weeting Heath (check also the field on the other side of the road). Didn't have to spend much on petrol once here. Able to do some birding, then nip back to have a quick bite to eat and off again was a format that worked well for me. Booked a dinner on my day of arrival which I enjoyed.

Really quiet. clean property, looks like recently renovated with quality furnishings and equipment. The bed was exceedingly comfortable. The place was spotless and had character. It was so nice to wake up and hear birdsong. The property owner was extremely approachable and helpful; she was flexible about key collection to fit with wedding arrangements and was very helpful in giving directions when we had got lost! I will definitely come to this property again.

Probably the most dog friendly property we have stayed in with a well maintained and secure garden plus some useful information provided by the owner. The cottage had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, the bath/shower room was spacious and the kitchen was also well equipped. It is situated in a quiet residential area but with easy access to the main road for exploring the region. The woods and grounds at Lynford are well worth exploring although Lynford Hall Hotel is closed the Shepherds Baa Cafe is a great place for refreshment for walkers and is also dog friendly.

The hotel is faultless from check-in to check-out;...

The hotel is faultless from check-in to check-out; everything you could ask for. The breakfast was fresh the bed was comfortable. Staff are friendly and welcoming. I wish I had found this when I first started to visit Brandon. I wouldn't have stayed anywhere else, and I must have been in every local hotel in Brandon. Will surely come back again and again.

This village is well placed as a centre to explore Norfolk.

This village is well placed as a centre to explore Norfolk. Recommend Grimes Graves a neolithic flint mine just down the road. Thetford Forest and Hunstanton are close. The village itself is historic and has a circular walk.

Even though youre in Thetford forest its not long and youre where the main roads are.It does feel enchanting to be surrounded by so much greenery,with a lake too.Its very mind healthy to be close to so much nature.We really enjoyed the complete change of normal life for a few days away,unlike anything we have experienced before.We hope to return before too long.The owners of Lynford gardens have done such a good job with the transformation of the accomodation and surroundings, very pleasurable on the eye.We hope to visit again as there were places we wanted to see which were closed this time.

This is a cute little village, perfect for wandering with...

This is a cute little village, perfect for wandering with your dog. We could walk out the front door each morning and meander through the streets or walk over to Lynford Arboretum on beautiful trails.

Evening meal was excellent.

Evening meal was excellent. Room was in self-contained cottage nearby which was spacious and convenient, with parking space. Very large room, well furnished and well heated. Mini-fridge was very useful although seal is not tight (room 20). Large ensuite bathroom but absolutely nowhere to put a bath bag; needs a small shelf or unit above sink.

Friendly staff, good food.

Friendly staff, good food. The room was comfy and there was no noise from the pub customers. The location was good for me, being close to the nature reseves I wished to visit. Internet was very weak; I compensated by using my phone as a mobile hotspot.

Lovely old style hotel in a stunning little village. The hotel were very accomodating as i’d booked a family room & had a disabled child with us so the hotel offered to put us in the cottage instead as it was more ground level. The cottage was stunning and much bigger than we expected. Beds were comfy and we had a great stay. Breakfast was also very nice.

I made the booking online, which was easy. I attended the Crown Hotel, to collect my room key, but this had already been left at Clare House. I had an excellent meal in the Crown, before going to Clare House. The room was spacious,clean and well appointed. The bed was extremely comfortable. Check out was easy, just leave the key.

Breakfast was plentiful and sausages were tasty and good quality. We had dinner on our second night and weren't disappointed, food was tasty and plates were full, great value. Room was cosy two comfortable double beds everything you needed. All staff friendly and helpful. Great wee hotel.
