The room was clean, the bathroom exceptionaly clean. Breakfast was the tipical scottish breakfast, but it was plenty and tasty. The staff was welcoming. We had a delay at the airport, and they reached out by phone if everything was OK, and when can they expect us. The whole building has this forgotten in time feel with stylish vintage furniture and amazing decoratione. Having spent our first night in Scotland at the hotel, I`d say it was our best choice to experience the food, the mountain views, the people, as a first impression.

Great place with wonderful hospitality and beautiful decorations. Their breakfast was top notch! We stayed for 2 nights and got to know the whole family, as they are all working there together. There's a homey feel about the house and how it's run, which made us very comfortable. We'll be back, would recommend for sure!

The staff, location, rooms and breakfast at Cairn Hotel are fantastic. That's why I keep coming back when I need to work in Inverness. Room was huge with sofa and giant TV. Clean comfy bed, great sleep and always look forward to the breakfast.Go.

The staff was really accommodating, even though some elements of the property were older. We liked the more laid-back decor (tartan carpets, older presentation) because it had character, but there were steps and things that made the property challenging for my mom, who has a walker. The staff was super helpful in accommodating our needs, however. They changed the room to better accommodate my mom, and carried her down the steps when we needed help. The wifi was no good in the second room we had, but they gave us free coffee to balance it out.

What Guests Said About Nethy Bridge:

Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.0

The hotel provided what we needed.

The hotel provided what we needed. We had a dog, who stayed in our vehicle overnight, but it was easy to park near an exit to manage her needs. She could have stayed in the hotel, but the car was easier as she was familiar with it. Breakfast was comprehensive and the staff were all friendly and helpful.

Beautiful village.

Beautiful village. Soo many trails, lochs, nature reserves, birds of prey nearby. I could go on endlessly. Great little village. Has a corner shop in it, golf course and a few houses. One of my fave places in the Cairngorms. Boat of Gaarten is nearby another slightly bigger village. Aviemore is bigger again 10 minute drive down the road or 20 if you are from the South.

Excellent friendly staff, good food and comfortable room and bed, but hotel needs investment and maintenance to improve it. Gardens are lovely (especially the lupins!) but windows need replacing and a new stair carpet would give a better impression.

This is an old property which we appreciated & the owners had kept the history intact with creaky floorboards & impressive paintings and artefacts, so pleasing to see a hotel not modernised bland and grey. The gardens at the front were beautiful & well maintained. All of the staff were friendly and helpful but not intrusive. The evening meal was superb

Lovely property with amazing amount of social spaces both indoors and outdoors. Bedrooms were excellent and plenty of storage space. Beautiful location in Nethy Bridge. We were 10 guests and didn’t at all feel too tight for space as everyone could spread out. There’s 3 bathrooms too! The dining table accommodated us all easily as well.

Fabulous views of the historical sites of Nethy Bridge and of the owners beautiful donkeys and horses. The cabin itself has a good sized separate bedroom and bathroom with all the storage space you will need. Kitchen has all amenities. Whole place is spotless, new looking and stylishly decorated. Really enjoyed our stay.

Beautifully converted horse box with a fantastic view on the outskirts of Nethy Bridge. The wood burning stove kept us cosy in the evening and it was great fun taking a shower outside. Very friendly and helpful host. And a perfect base for exploring this stunning area. Will be back!
