Words really fail me to explain how special this property was. The attention to every single detail was exquisite. I’m a professional organizer. My business is details. I’ve never seen anything like this. Everything - even the lights on the floor that automatically come on when you walk into the bathroom - was planned perfectly when this former convent was remodeled to make a sacred space for all its guests. There was even framed sheet music in the halls to, I assume, pay homage to the beautiful music that must’ve once graced the hallways. The staff was so warm and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was like something out of a Veranda magazine spread. The breakfast was delicious. At every turn in the hotel and the room itself, we were met with a delightful and unexpected experience. Who puts this much thought into a public space? The Cookie Jar does. You made our once-in-a-lifetime trip unforgettable.

Excellent breakfast—a great way to start the day. It will last you until mid afternoon. The staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly. The most fun was the well-behaved dogs —hi Molly—even the manager had one (Mia). Great parking and a lovely setting. A little dated in decor, but homey.

The location is great, close to Alnwick castle, there are plenty free public parkings behind the hotel including no-disc parking which is must-have for guests of the town. The restaurant's interior design is amazing, it allows you to feel Titanic's passenger, without any catastrophical consequences :)

We really loved our stay at the Queens Head in Alnwick. The staff were wonderful and seemed really happy to have us there, we were very welcomed. The Rooms were recently refurbished and very spacious. Convenient on-site parking and a great Bar downstairs. We would definitely stay here again!

We booked this place for my sons birthday and as soon as we...

We booked this place for my sons birthday and as soon as we arrived we were very disappointed. The cabin is absolutely filthy and is in need of a very deep clean. It has a very distinct unpleasant smell as soon as you walk in the door. The radiator in the living room was leaking with a puddle of water surrounding it. The blanket on the sofa smelt of alcohol and clearly had not been washed. Plates in the kitchen cupboard were dirty but there was nothing to wash them with except from a used, very worn dish sponge. The water in the cabin was running brown! The drains on the sink and bathroom were both blocked. There was only what can be described as bodily fluids on the curtains in the main bedroom and the carpets had either not been hoovered properly or not at all as we found finger nails near the skirting board! The shower was broken near the hot tub and the cushions for the furniture outside was mouldy. We felt very itchy and uncomfortable throughout our stay as the place was so unkempt.

Hot tub cleanliness on all 3 days not up to scratch. Needed cleaning and chlorine 1 day. Responsive owners when asked. But for the price paid we shou ldn't have had to contact them. And again for the price we paid, the overall cleanliness and fixtures and fittings of the caravan should have been better. The caravan is old and it shows. Superb caravan in its day you can see. Needs a bit of money spent on it inside. And a mega wash outside. And the cleaners need to see what we as guests see - and it stuns me they can't. We paid £180 per night and stayed 3 nights. A fair price would be £120 per night.

This area is a peaceful retreat.plenty of walks.cook and barker pub lovely food 2 mile away.viner park great for kids playing field walk and cafe nelsons lovely food n drinks closed tuesdays.swarland village club open to non members and through the woods nice walk is the country n coast club with a games room for All.if you like game golf its great way to finish.As golf course on site! Alnwick 9mile away and Almouth beach a must for a picturesque walk Anytime of year!

Beautiful bungalow - 4 spacious bedrooms - 3 with en-suite and a massive separate bathroom. Kitchen well equipped and a huge family table. The views are lovely - out to sea. Newton - on- the- Moor is a beautiful tiny little village with a gorgeous pub serving stunning food - 'The Cook and Barker' Only 5 miles form Alnwick - and a 3 miles to the gorgeous beach of Alnmouth. It snowed while we were there it was fantastic we all loved it, husband, kids, grandkids and dogs - could have stayed longer

Nice village.

Nice village. Property in nice location, but the kitchen would benefit from some updating, ie bigger fridge, new crockery and utensils. Wasn't easy cooking our Christmas Dinner with only 3 saucepans, and only two shelves for both ovens. Central heating boiler was off more than it was on due to ongoing fault. Thankfully I'd taken an electric fan heater, but it's a huge property not to have any heating.... in December!

The property is excellent if you just want to stay in and use the hot tub. We were hoping for a bit of life on the site but finally found it in a local pub after walking through the woods, would of helped if there was a little map showing where the pub was as its only a 10 min walk from the caravan but with a quick look on Google maps I found it.
