Excellent welcome gifts of hot chocolate, crisps, milk, juice and delicious handmade cookies. Even a bottle of smidge for you to use while you stay if you came unprepared!

AustraliaThe atmosphere / vibe of the Inn, the location, the food, the staff, the amazing bar and restaurant out the back. Bonus - it was adults-only. Local musicians came and played for us on the Sunday night which really made our evening. The room was cozy, warm, the beds were really comfortable, and the views outside when you wake up of the mountains are incredible!

Ballachulish itself is not particularly spectacular, but is...
Ballachulish itself is not particularly spectacular, but is the starting point and supply point for a variety of excursions and especially hikes. Glencoe, Oban, Mull and Skye are not far away or can be reached on day trips. There are hotels, a restaurant, several cafes and a Coop in the village. Very nicely situated.

Great location for touring the area -very quiet location...
Great location for touring the area -very quiet location with stunning view of mountains and lochs, there are shops within 5 mins drive at Ballachulish
For those who are interested in environmental issues the accommodation has a green award which the current owner is very keen to maintain h high standards

The location was very good. Short walk to local hotel on Loch Great location for touring local area and Fortwilliam & Oban
The cottage was very spacious, well equipped everything we needed. Log fire made cottage cosy. The host kept in touch by telephone and we could contact Jonathan if need be. Very attentive but did not intrude on our privacy. Well done Jonathan excellent hoilday cottage wish we could stay forever. WILL NOT HESITATE TO BOOK AGAIN. As we say in Scotland HASTE YE BACK. Thankyou Jonathan for letting us stay.

We loved everything about our stay, Gaynor is so welcoming and friendly and makes you feel at home. The rooms are lovely and cosy and has everything you need, and you feel very taken care of at the Woolly Rock. The area is close to everything and North Ballachulish is just beautiful.

Gaynor and husband were superb, fab location, quiet, in breathtaking location. Breakfast was huge and cooked to perfection. They were brilliant hosts and nothing was too much trouble. They even booked our dinner at a local hotel for us.

A lovelr room with a garden view, slept very well. Breakfast was very good, and Gaynor the host very helpful. They suggested we book our evening meal pror to arrival, and the LochLeven hotel around the corner was excellent too.
