FranceI chose this place because I needed to be near Purley for a family event, and it fit the bill perfectly. The studio was very clean, modern, and well equipped. It’s tastefully decorated, with a large TV and everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I really appreciated the privacy, set apart in the garden, and the convenience of on-site parking. The host was also lovely – really friendly, helpful, and welcoming.

The property is not in Pangbourne although it can be reached...
The property is not in Pangbourne although it can be reached in a short car ride. It is by the River Thames with the main road running through it. It was very busy when we were there. Goring and twin town Streatley are nearer with good independent shops. Basildon Park (National Trust) is near and well worth a visit. The house is interesting and it is set in parkland with lots of walking.

We wanted a somewhere nice to stay near The living rainforest which we had planned to visit. We both really liked Pangbourne, it is a small relaxing and pleasant area to walk around. We would go back again for sure!

I was in Pangbourne for a family event rather than to explore the town itself, but it made a great base. If you’re visiting from abroad or elsewhere in the UK, it’s ideally located – close to London for easy access, and just minutes from Reading, where you’ll find all the big shops, supermarkets, and anything else you might need. The town itself is charming and quintessentially British, with pretty cottages, lovely countryside, cosy pubs, and a nice selection of local shops and dining options. It would make a perfect peaceful base for visiting nearby places like Windsor, London, Reading, or even Stonehenge and Salisbury, which are just over an hour away.

Arrived at 3 and room still not ready at 5.20 .
Arrived at 3 and room still not ready at 5.20 . Then given the room number 10 and bed not made up as still waiting on laundry. Duvet all stained and room dirty.Asked to see manager and a guy called Ben arrived and said nothing was going to please me … photos will show

Interesting place, will go back.
Interesting place, will go back. Got to swim in the Thames, see the churches, go to Whitchurch, walk along the Thames. Visit Goring. It's a fantastic place for a couple of nights. There is a canoe club and also it's a good place to cycle in.

Pangbourne is surrounded by loverly woods and the River Thames runs close by. The traffic during the day is very heavy and makes walking around the town unpleasant. Oddly there are no pubs on the river. There are som nice walks by the river.

Perfect location for a family get together to visit our son who lives in the area. Pangbourne is a lovely village on the Thames with plenty of places to eat and drink within a 15 minute walk of the house either along the road or across fields. House had plenty of room for 3 generations of family and lovely large garden. The property is well set back from the road with ample of parking for several vehicles.

The hotel accommodation was fine and the breakfast was fine. The overall stay was fine. I would not say the hotel was dirty, but it did not feel clean. There was just something about it that felt a little tired and in need of freshening up.
