It's a smallish building but many people were there for dinner, so it felt lively and was very welcoming. We arrived late-ish (8pm) and were pleasantly surprised that dinner was served (on a Thursday) until 9pm. Everyone who worked there and was a patron were very friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night and had to leave early, but the room was clean and comfortable and loved the charm of the pub next to the church.

We had a lovely stay! The bathtub was amazing to soak my muscles at the end of a long days hike. There was a fridge in our room which was perfect to chill our water. The dinner was very tasty as was the breakfast.

Lovely welcome from Sue. The property was very clean. Felt very homely and the beds were really comfortable. The location was quiet with lovely off road routes through stunning orchards…I thoroughly enjoyed my early morning run with the dogs!

Beautiful cabin set opposite a gorgeous view.

Beautiful cabin set opposite a gorgeous view. Felt very secluded. The guy who owns it was lovely. Really friendly and kind. Lots of books to read. Played scrabble too! If you have children, the nook up the stairs is very cool to sleep in. Bath with a view was awesome. Water not quite hot enough for us but a couple of kettles on top was enough. Went to break its neck waterfall nearby which was stunning. It had rained a lot so that made it spectacular. Also went to hay on wye for the day. Had a meal at the three tuns which I can highly recommend. All in all a fantastic place. We would return.

What a lovely little gem of a town to explore with Historic buildings, and a nice feel. We ate at the Radnor Arms Hotel with the front part of the building dating from the 1600’s. Friendly, welcoming service from the staff.

A small town in beautiful countryside with plenty to do locally even if you do not walk a great deal. Good places to eat in the town itself and interesting places to visit locally like the Sidney Nolan Trust and Spaceguard centre. There are many churches inn Herefordshire and Powys that are open and interesting to visit. We enjoyed a church crawl! Hereford Town is also within reach.

Lovely small town with lots of small shops, great character and friendly locals. The Radnorshire Arms provided great family accommodation, a tasty filling meal, and a great beer garden/play area. Wonderfully dog friendly garden too. A lovely part of the world :)

Good range of shops and places to eat, etc. for small town.

Good range of shops and places to eat, etc. for small town. Good historic buildings including The Judge's Lodgings, which are open to the public and worth a visit. Good music classical festival each year in late August. Lots of places and good walks in the surrounding area. Great to be able to quickly get away from traffic noise, which seems to be everywhere nowadays.

The location was great: Presteigne sits in nice green, and generally quiet Welsh countryside. Our room was large and comfortable, more like a suite. The hotel had plenty of character as it dates back to the (I think!) 17th century. It has a large garden, the bar was well stocked (though a bit odd everything closed at 6pm on the Sunday) and the evening meals were substantial and tasty.

Location is central but quiet. The car park is at rear and the hotel accessed via a garden. Room was lovely and very atmospheric. I stayed here several times as a boy because my mum was evacuated to Presteigne during WW2. We came back to visit her host family. Little has altered. All the good things about the hotel remain, with wifi and upgraded rooms!

If you're looking a good old traditional pub / hotel then this is it. Built over a couple of hundred years from the Tudor period it has history coming out of every wall panel. The staff were very friendly, accomodating and the food in the evening was fabulous.
