We didn’t get up in time to enjoy the breakfast, but the service and staff were absolutely excellent. Could not have had a nicer room, or nicer people. Thank you so much.

This was a really cool place— the castle is stunning. I wish we’d had more time to look around, but we only stayed one night. The rooms are pretty basic, but very comfortable— good bed, warm shower, and lots of space. Nice little touches, too— they left little biscuits for us, coffee, etc. The coolest part was this: when we booked this room 3 months ago, we accidentally were given a rate that was MUCH lower than normal— literally £100 cheaper than normal. I contacted the property, and sure enough, it was a mistake on their part. I would’ve fully understood if they didn’t want to give it to me for the mistake price, since I had months to find another place. But they honored the price, even though it cost them a hundred pounds. I was impressed. Just nice people. :-)

The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The location was perfect for us as we were heading to wastwater to go paddle boarding, and the facilities were great. For a bargain price room it had everything we needed. We ate in the restaurant for our evening meal and breakfast, the food was great quality and very well priced.

Location was perfect for us. The grounds were great. The log fire was a lovely touch. The price was great as this isn’t something we could normally afford to do.

A scenic but small village in a scenic location.

A scenic but small village in a scenic location. Very handy for both the mainline railway and the ravenglass and eskdale railway.Walking available very good indeed. And the beach is really quite scenic.

Ravenglass is in a unique location where three rivers flow into the sea. Ravenglass is the only village on the coast within the Lake District National Park. Ravenglass is within reach of some of the best mountain scenery in the Lake District and is ideal for visiting the Ravenglass and Eskdale steam railway. Ravenglass is accessible by train with a station in the village so this gives an additional option for travel as well as by car.

The ravenglass railway was brilliant, although it is a miniature train! There are 3 places to eat within walking distance of where we stayed. It is a trek to the nearest shop for essentials, so make sure you get everything you need when you're out.

A lovely area. Beautiful views.

A lovely area. Beautiful views. Lots to see and do if you know where to look. If you enjoy good walks then definitely a good place to be. Castle is a must visit as is the railway and the museum. Roman bath house is a good walk and plenty of blackberry bushes. People are lovely. We saw a craft fayre which was nice. Other good beaches in driving distance too. Our children loved it.

Beautiful location with lots of history within walking distance. The ratty train was also a lot of fun and took us to Eskdale where you can climb up to see a waterfall. The Inn at Ravenglass had amazing food and we will definitely be going again!

I loved the construction of the cabin. The wood was very thick and the cabin was quite shaded so it was surprisingly cool for the record breaking temperatures. It was very well equipped and roomy. The village was very quiet and peaceful especially compared to the more touristy places in the Lakes. It was a 3 minute walk from the Ravenglass railway and there were some great long sandy beaches within a half hour drive.

The bedroom was sizeable, comfortable, well fitted out and with terrific views of the estuary at Ravenglass. The Inn is managed by the nearby Pennington Hotel and I took dinner and breakfast at The Pennington.
