All of the facilities are spot on as is the location. The food and drink was all great - we had an evening meal and breakfast. But most of all it's the attitude of the staff - so welcoming and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic. Thank you.

The location is absolutely perfect and it was great to have parking available on site without charge. The room was spotless and well decorated, as was the rest of the B&B. There was WiFi available and a Smart TV in the room too. Breakfast was incredible and cooked perfectly each morning - we loved speaking with Mike too who hosted us each morning, he was very kind and very welcoming.

I have been to Ravenscar many times but it was the first time at the hotel. I did not feel welcome outside because of the access restrictions and was shouted at by a member of staff when we tried to use a path. Sadly it was a disappointing experience. Things can be overlooked if the price is right. But although the location is good I was left feeling underwhelmed and not particularly welcome.

Great location and breakfast, however hotel is looking a bit tired and could do with a makeover. Also watch the barmen when ordering cocktails as they seem to neglect putting alcohol in the drinks, not good.

When driving to our destination we had to reduce speed to 20 mph for the last five miles in order to take in the stunning scenery. I was visiting for a wedding and, sadly, had to leave the next day. I wish I could have stayed longer ~ I had no idea that Ravenscar was so beautiful. I loved the space, the wide open fields and views, the sea, the roadside flowers, the excellent coffee at the Grand Villa Heights hotel ~ and I believe access to other beautiful locations is not that far away. A wholehearted recommendation for Ravenscar!

Excellent coastal walks and cycle ways of varying lengths and levels. Plenty of free parking. Lots of nice people. Full of local history. Not too busy. Two nice friendly cafes. Several holiday lets of varying sizes. Within easy reach of Scarborough and Whitby. Stunning panoramic views across Robin Hoods Bay. Beach not really accessible and not like Scarborough or Whitby. Good for bird watching.

Fantastic communal areas especially bar & restaurant which looked newly decorated, the lounge rooms off reception were cosy and well appointed. The bedroom we were given definitely is in need of an upgrade, decor and furniture and bathroom / strange door system and interconnecting rooms - not needed in this day and age Restaurant food was high quality and plenty of choice for breakfast buffet - bar could do with more selection of rewarding type drinks like a food selection of fine whiskies etc…

The venue is great and has been for a number of years however the new ownership has brought the ugly head of profit,ie wedding receptions are a great earner but the usual clientele ie dog owners and couples are not been catered for as before. We will never cross the path of this hotel ever again but who cares the low modern standards are here to stay
