Breakfast was not included but kitchen facilities were good. The location was good for me once I found it. The accommodation was clean and warm with hot water and good towels. It was in a quiet location and once other guests were in their rooms the accommodation was slso quiet.

Close to the pub, but in a quiet separate building. Loved the interior deco of the room, tasteful and ‘country elegant.’ Reception crew is friendly and kind, as were the servers in the restaurant. The meal was delicious and the lager as well. I’d come back here in a heartbeat.

Everything It's 5 minutes walk from the train station .It's 25 minutes to central . The place is just amazing , in only 20 minutes you have forgotten about the noise and the horns and the rush the traffic , the pollution ....you're in the middle of the nature . It's peaceful and quiet ,all that you need after a week of big city life !! I Arrived at the property 00:00 at night worried if I'm going to find the property if someone going to be still in the reception ; From the moment I stept out of the train ,within 10 minutes I was in my room , more accessible and faster than in central London sometimes !!! I highly recommend !!!

Thanks to the lovely helpful staff and the beautiful location we had a brilliant stay before and after our wedding day. Even with the rainy weather the staff kindly accommodated us accordingly and provided indoors options for our photoshoots, and went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction.

I struggled to find the place, but the owner went above and...

I struggled to find the place, but the owner went above and beyond to help. I don't understand technology, which isn't his fault was able to park outside the door, and the owner helped me unload the car . The room was very clean and functional. Arrived late and left early, so I didn't use the facilities outside the room, but the kitchen was large and clean It was a very reasonable price, as a pensionor, I was grateful for

Awful stay.

Awful stay. Thin mattress, thin curtains so light streams in. Emergency light led really bright in bedroom. Patio door didn’t lock. Room overlooks noisy car park On the plus side there’s a couple of pubs about 20 min walk away.

Marina village suited my needs.

Marina village suited my needs. I was looking for a quiet relaxing stay and the hot tub added to the experience. The lodge was fully equipped with cooking utensils, fridge, cooker, washing machine. Parking space right in front of the lodge made unloading bags easy. The onsite Indian restaurant was a bonus and well-priced. Local shop was well stocked and friendly staff made my day. The boat house cafe provided me with a nice sausage toastie for breakfast. Good place for long walks and cycling tracks. I didn’t cycle, but they’ll be renting bikes out from August. Nice place to take the family. Very peaceful.

The information said there was a cafe/bar open until 9pm that served snacks and hot drinks. There was only an Indian Restaurant. No options for breakfast except to drive into the village. There didn’t look to be much parking in the village. The room was dusty, with cobwebs, the shower was mouldy in the cubicle & especially on the ceiling, the carpet was not clean.

Its a bit out of the way, alongside a barge marina. I thought it would be quiet. Alas, a group had booked and had been placed in neighboring rooms to mine. Even though they were not ridiculously noisy both at 2300 and 0300 (going to a nightclub?) the soundproofing in the hotel is inadequate. The Indian Restaurant adjacent served good food, but the service was awful. They were massively under-staffed for a Saturday evening and it spoiled it for me. I might give it another go but not on a Friday or Saurday.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Safe parking. a real bonus. Two restaurants close by. The Boathouse had evening meals but we only used the breakfast option and we enjoyed our full English. The Indian restaurant next door to hotel was superb. We ate there both nights. There is marina and a towpath but weather was to wet to enjoy it! Reasonably close to North London where we were visiting family. We Will use again if coming to North London as the parking locally is a nightmare and so nice to come back to somewhere serene!

We had everything we needed inside the chalet. It was relatively clean. The hot tub was a nice added bonus! It was very practical to be so close to the railway station, and to be able to get a train into London quite easily too! The Roydon Indian restaurant also onsite, had very good Indian food. It was a bit of a shame that it was only open in the evenings, but we certainly recommend it.

We love the lodges at Roydon bro g our second stay of the year but in a different lodge they all still have the same quality. Absolutely gorgeous lodge with a hot tub right outside the door. Very dog friendly and with all dogs kept on leads at all time I felt my dog was safe to have her walks without off lead dogs getting in her face. Relaxing, tranquil with gorgeous views.
