Friendly, helpful staff. We enjoyed a lovely evening meal in the bar. Many breakfast options for vegetarians. Spacious, free parking. Easy to find, central location.

Hotel was lovely, very clean and big rooms. Breakfast was brilliant, had everything you could think of. Staff friendly and polite.

My point of views.. Valued for money, Location its just 5 mins walk from Station,facilities like fridge, washing machines,cooking equipment has few..And back garden u can dry up your laundry- and most important the owner is so nice; i feel like its my own home..

First of all I thought I was on the wrong hotel location, to my surprise on this location the staff was more than perfect and made us feel right at home. The hotel is far from everything, but we were able to manuver everything.

The Ropemaker was wonderful! The staff were extremely friendly, professional and helpful. I am a very picky housekeeper and when I say our room was spotless, I mean it was spotless. The room was large, the bathroom was huge, the bed linens were crisp and comfortable, the towels were thick and large. There was excellent closet space and the bed and pillows were lovely and comfortable. We were greeted with a handwritten welcome note along with cookies and candies in our room. On check-in we were upgraded at no additional cost. We ate dinner in the restaurant our first night and it was absolutely delicious! The restaurant servers were efficient and friendly. I can't say enough good things about The Ropemaker.

Lovely boutique style hotel close to Southsea seafront. Comfortable rooms, friendly staff and a great breakfast. The hotel's sister "gastro pub" across the road also did a great evening meal. Recommended, will visit again.

The room was well appointed and had everything we needed including Tea, Coffee and Water. TV on the wall with Freeview and a decent shower. There is a wardrobe too to hang your clothes and store your stuff. The apartments are well placed for the beach front and about a 30 minute walk into Portsmouth. Breakfast was excellent and definitely worth adding. You need to walk to the main hotel on Florence Road to have Breakfast which takes less than 5 minutes.

Peaceful lovely views Super clean Lovely basket of goodies, fresh milk and fruit Easy key collection with great communication from owner. Swans came up and poked their heads onto our deck for food it was the best!!! So beautiful!
